Go for it... if you need chips you can also order Xeon X5460 (LGA 771) from ebay for around $20 or less, shipped from China, that are pre-modified to work in LGA 775 systems. I did that in another of these systems I still have. Be prepared to wait about a month for it to ship though.
You're probably looking at about $100 less than asking... ($150). Used GTX 1070's are going for $250-$300. Good luck with your sale.
Its nice... For a $60 case to have tempered glass and 3 RGB fans plus a non-rgb one is pretty good. Cable routing is pretty decent. My main two issues with it... I wish it had a better/easier place to mount SSD's. If I can add a sled in the future I'm going to try. And lastly, I wish it had top radiator/fan mounting. The only option for 240mm or 360mm is in the front, which isn't optimal considering it doesn't get great airflow from there. I would give it about 6-7 out of 10. For $60 it isn't bad at all but I still prefer the Deepcool Dukase V2 that my other main rig is built in which I payed $47 for. Its predecesor, the Earlkase was on sale for $50 this week and I'm considering picking one of them up.
Which one do you think you're not seeing? There are pics of BOTH cases (DIYPC is white, CoolerMaster is all black with larger window and has 3 fans in the front). I only left the pics of the white DIYPC case to show how cheap it was and so people would have an idea of why I didn't go with it. It was part of the story of this build but maybe its too confusing.
Now they're doing Watch Dogs for free as well
I would say anything over $130 AUD and you did pretty well.
Personally I wouldn't pay that price for an I5-7400. Might as well get a Ryzen 5 1600. You can build a Ryzen system for that price that will perform better.
Save your money and get semi modular... you have to use a 24pin anyways. Although the EVGA G2 550w for $54.99 is a great deal.
its ok... thanks for responding. I managed to figure it out. Had the RGB connector backwards (arrow not pointing the right direction) lol. First time I've ever used it before. Rookie mistake.
I'm not saying their prices are always great but I always look there.
You say Newegg has terrible deals but I got 16GB (2x8) G Skill Ripjaws (black) 3000 Mhz Ram for $122.99 about a month ago and yes it was before Black Friday. Regular prices were about $150-$160 for that kit then and are now around $180 or more as I'm sure you've seen. So deals can be found on Newegg. Just have to hunt.
I think he's LOOKING for this... in which case it shouldn't go in deals either.
questions for customer service bro... they will screw you on those mail in rebates if they can find any way to. Complete scams designed by marketing departments to get people to buy products they are having trouble selling. Cant count how many I have sent off and never gotten back regardless of whether I did everything to the tee or not.
I get Newegg emails daily. Sign up for them, its worth it.
Amazon - although I prefer manual searches to their emails
SlickDeals - best deal site online period
ShopRunner - kind of a conglomerate deal website
EVGA B stock sometimes has good deals... GTX 1050ti's were $119.99 for a while but are sold out right now.

Stream games and create content and you can.
Sometimes... or I probably wouldn't play much. :)
the understood context there is Time -spent doing something that makes money or doing MORE things that make money in my case and not waiting on my computer to perform a task.
come on man... ofcourse I was kidding about commercials. I also work for AT&T/Directv.
The time adds up. My time (and most other people's) is worth money. Hence why its worth money for me to save that time. I'm guessing you're still using a Core 2 Duo or other similar ancient hardware? Otherwise, why upgrade, since you dont mind waiting on things? See what I'm getting at? But I digress... to each his own concerning computer speed.
What's a commercial? I know not of what you speak. lol Seriously though... who watches commercials either? Not only is an ssd absolutely worth every penny but faster ssd's are worth the upgrade as well.
Adblocker on youtube ads works quite well. The worst thing I have to deal with is product plugs done in-video but often I skip portions of videos that have them too.
Seemed like a great deal to me.
Dont forget to add a $50 SSD operating system drive. Definitely a must have in 2017.
I love the white too and I actually really love the look of that case. Cable management seems like it would be difficult with that open PSU shroud but maybe you can figure something out there. I would definitely try to hide that fan hub. Still a great looking build though.
+1 specifically for the white Corsair M65 pro. I have one as well and love it. My favorite mouse.
Love the custom case. What a great idea to re-purpose an old maintenance toolbox.
Was about to say that I'm not a fan of that case but then noticed it has a hot swap drive bay in the top of it. That's pretty cool and I didn't even know they made cases with those.
Definitely gotta work on that cable management though.
Love the look of that Fractal case and the name you dubbed the build is quite catchy.
Awesome build... I would love to pick your brain about setting up your server sometime. I'm getting a Silverstone GD09B for Christmas that I have plans to set up a HTPC and server combo in. Dont know if I'm gonna go as big as you did with it and I'm admittedly just now starting to dabble in NAS and server teachings but I have high hopes.
Helluva first computer. I would definitely suggest finding a way to install that third fan on your cooler or getting a 240mm one to replace it. It will inevitably cause issues. Still a very nice build. Thumbs up ;)
Doesn't matter how new it is if the package is opened it will have to be discounted from retail price in order to sell in most places. It can be listed as Like New in box but people would rather buy it new if the price is the same.
Also it doesn't matter how new 16GB of DDR4 3000 RAM is, it wont sell for $300. Your kit sells for $181 brand new right now.
16GB of RAM for $300?
3 currently (2 for sale) The price ($50) on them is great considering they sell for $90 on their website unless you got in on one of their specials where they gave them away with a gpu.
that's a GREAT deal
Honestly I've never owned/personally used a keyboard with cherry mx blue switches but from what other people have told me browns are MUCH quieter but still have a discernible click. Where as Reds dont have much of a click and have much less actuation pressure required (my new K95 has reds). I haven't really decided which I like better browns or reds. I'm not a huge fan of keyboards that make a lot of noise in general (so I know I wouldn't like Blue's) but I'm liking the reds so far. The browns have been great, I just have multiples of that same keyboard from ordering Galax stuff and getting them with gpu's.
Purchased in November of 2016 well before mining craze.
No problem... that's crazy though. They also work on BMW's and they are pretty close to me geographically (I'm in NC) and I've never heard of them. They are A (&) M Motorsports though. I should have a website up soon. I will post links when we do.
I just meant that you're much more likely to sell an entire working computer together than just as a group of parts.
For reference... I've purchased entire rigs (OEM's) for around $100 with this same chip in it. I'd keep it and make a server out of it.
Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $300 for the combo. 7700k's were selling on Amazon NEW for $279 just a week ago. Just my $.02 though.
I think you could probably get $500 out of it. I would find a cheap HDD or atleast some kind of drive to put in it and you will get more out of it.
Why not just buy a $20 psu and complete the build? Heck... come to Charlotte and I'm sure I have one lying around.
I've got $100 for one if you're interested. Serious offer.
I'm interested in the 6700k and the motherboard... PM me if you see this first
These were $200 on NZXT's website before they went out of stock. Its a rare case and limited quantity though so someone might be willing to pay for it. Good luck with your sale.
Great seller. Super fast shipping. Legit items in good working condition. Highly recommended for anyone considering purchasing from him. Pleasant business transaction.
Wanted to ask.... is the motherboard the ASRock B350M the Pro-4 model? I noticed you have a 4x4 set of RAM but wanted to make sure it has 4 RAM slots. Also here's a build guide of your components. The case is wrong but I just got an average priced Rosewill case...

bump for a fellow NC pc builder... Go Heels ;)
ok sounds good... my paypal email is email@example.com
Make sure and send it as a Friends/Family gift or add $1.06 for fees. (Total of $26.06)
Also send me your personal info (Name, phone number, email) so I can send you the game code. I can do that today if you're available.
Ended up getting a K95 RGB on sale!!! Cant wait to get it on Monday!
960 evo is worth every penny! I love mine (256GB). Best $120 I think I've ever spent on pc tech.
Its mostly about cache and drive speed with HDD's. This Constellation has 64MB cache and is 7200 rpm so it should be fine compared to most HDD's but I would stay away from anything with less (for those specific purposes). I like Toshiba HDD's. They're pretty reliable.
