youtubers have a bad habit of making somewhat difficult tasks look easy (like updating a previous bios) when in fact they are much more difficult to an average user. Unless you have an extra previous ryzen cpu lying around or are just upgrading an existing rig with a new zen 2 cpu, x570 is the way to go for now until b550 boards come out.
Really depends on the price you are asking/wanting for them. For the right price they should be easy to move on r/hardwareswap, ebay, here, other pc forums, etc although they will most likely be easier to sell separately than together.
IMO they should fetch around $250-$280 shipped each. Used ones sell regularly for $200. Based on the other new gpu's on the market and where the performance of the 1070 sits in comparison to other similarly priced gpu's (like the 1660 and 1660ti) that should be about what to expect.
nice build... I think that's the direction I'm going to go. Might suck it up and go 9900k though. Part of me is considering waiting for Ryzen 3 but I'm hoping the memory compatibility is better than the first two.
considering its only been used for a month I think its reasonable. Still under full warranty. 1700's get $150 new, 1700x around $160-170. I did go down to $140 though if it helps.
software literally runs computer hardware. Do you guys even computer?I guess by your logic, Windows and its flaws dont have an impact on your pc hardware either.
: | crap software LITERALLY makes hardware crap.
Whether you like lighting or not, being able to turn it off would be nice. Random multi-colored fans and multi-colored leds ON the motherboard and gpu is kinda of a damper on any build.
I have all of the programs installed and running... they dont work. Atleast not properly. The motherboard software will control 2 of the 8 zones. Even then, it has serious issues.
The biggest issue is the software will not recognize the Gigabyte gpu at all... meaning no lighting control what so ever. I've tried Aorus Engine, I've tried RGB Fusion, both of them with AND without Gigabyte App Center.
Yes, yes, and yes... its ok though. Never hurts to ask questions. Thanks so much for responding and trying to help.
Have you tried to use the Gigabyte software with a similar motherboard? Did it work properly?
Any idea if a firmware update and/or a gpu bios update would help with the software?
it definitely has to do with their motherboards... and their gpus and their software, and even the company as a whole. Lets start here... the lighting on my Gigabyte motherboard doesn't work properly.
Up from me...Beautiful build. LOVE the white aesthetic. But not a huge fan of the case. Needs cable grommets on the front and some better cable routing.
Absolutely beautiful build. Love the Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG SE. (I have the same case) That white interior is beautiful. <3
Respectfully, it feels like if you were going to remove all of the drive caddy's for a custom loop build anyways, there were better options in cases. Both in thermals and aesthetics (like a Fractal Define R6 or Meshify) where the front has 100% ventilation instead of only 1/2.
Its also worth mentioning that I think some other case options with a fully enclosed psu shroud would be optimal aesthetically for this kind of build.
Regardless... absolutely great work! Give me something to aim for in the future. Up from me dawg ;)
You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about. Not only have I had people ship an item first before, but I have had someone do that ON THIS WEBSITE. Lol.
I have paypal and several different methods of paying online and would gladly pay first in those situations. But some people don’t have paypal and prefer to do things old school.
I'll buy that GTX 1070 from you if you are interested in selling it separately. Very nice build btw... I loved my Skylake system and intended to run it beside my Ryzen system as a dual pc Stream setup but ended up giving it to my brother who was already streaming and needed a nice pc.
Understand if you dont want to part out but figured I would try. Good luck with your sale either way.
do NOT use ebay... they charge you a percentage of each sale. If you need to list parts you can do it here (as mentioned above), reddit/hardwareswap, google search for computer/pc forums, etc. Then you can use paypal to exchange funds. They protect both buyer and seller the same way ebay does.
God I love this part grouping... white themed build. Man after my own heart. Not a big fan of that case though. There's so many options for white cases. Just curious... why did you choose that one?
Cooler, memory, GPU, and PSU are all on my want-to-buy list. Damn man that 32gb of 4k!!!!!! So jely here.
no problem... I've been there. Also when you get time it would be great to get some pictures/links. Seems like a decent price for that build. Good luck with sale.
If you're interested in parting out the gpu I would be interested in it.
750Ti is old... those cards are ancient relics and mantle pieces lol. Not even usable anymore except for things like basic video output and MAYBE for low res video playback (youtube on lower settings)
No actually I meant that he intends to do a budget custom loop in THIS rig lol. Mainly using videos I showed him on YouTube of people doing $30-$50 loops on Q6600 systems. Will probably only do the cpu but still... its a GREAT way to get into liquid cooling. Those videos are what got me into PC building at all.
I’ve done a couple of these in Dell OEM cases (that I had to modify to get the gpu to fit) but for this one I wanted to avoid the reverse/mirror motherboard layout from OEM Dell Optiplex machines. I also had this case lying around and didn’t plan to use it on anything else. It was honestly a horrible case to work in. I will post some info in the review.
Thanks... I’m gonna be making more. GPU’s are the hardest part to get these days. Looking forward to Kepler cards going down even more once newer cards come out.
