sounds great... yeah see how much he's asking for it. Definitely interested.
is that your sale?
I'm watching all of them on ebay but would rather put more money in a sellers pocket rather than them have to pay ebay fees.
Really depends on the price you are asking/wanting for them. For the right price they should be easy to move on r/hardwareswap, ebay, here, other pc forums, etc although they will most likely be easier to sell separately than together.
IMO they should fetch around $250-$280 shipped each. Used ones sell regularly for $200. Based on the other new gpu's on the market and where the performance of the 1070 sits in comparison to other similarly priced gpu's (like the 1660 and 1660ti) that should be about what to expect.
The total price at the bottom is LOWER than the total of all the parts.
I dont want to sell the cpu without motherboard. What are you unsure about there?
nice build... I think that's the direction I'm going to go. Might suck it up and go 9900k though. Part of me is considering waiting for Ryzen 3 but I'm hoping the memory compatibility is better than the first two.
considering its only been used for a month I think its reasonable. Still under full warranty. 1700's get $150 new, 1700x around $160-170. I did go down to $140 though if it helps.
you are correct... just saw that today on Newegg's promo list
not 3200 mhz... lowest I've seen it is around $120-130 new
I have $300 plus actual shipping costs for it
software literally runs computer hardware. Do you guys even computer?I guess by your logic, Windows and its flaws dont have an impact on your pc hardware either.
: | crap software LITERALLY makes hardware crap.
Whether you like lighting or not, being able to turn it off would be nice. Random multi-colored fans and multi-colored leds ON the motherboard and gpu is kinda of a damper on any build.
I have all of the programs installed and running... they dont work. Atleast not properly. The motherboard software will control 2 of the 8 zones. Even then, it has serious issues.
The biggest issue is the software will not recognize the Gigabyte gpu at all... meaning no lighting control what so ever. I've tried Aorus Engine, I've tried RGB Fusion, both of them with AND without Gigabyte App Center.
true story... UP ;)
MSI's is by far the best. Asus's works, but it pretty basic.
Yes, yes, and yes... its ok though. Never hurts to ask questions. Thanks so much for responding and trying to help.
Have you tried to use the Gigabyte software with a similar motherboard? Did it work properly?
Any idea if a firmware update and/or a gpu bios update would help with the software?
GA-AX370 Gaming 5 motherboard rev 1.0
GV-N1080XTREME-8GD-PP rev 1.0
it definitely has to do with their motherboards... and their gpus and their software, and even the company as a whole. Lets start here... the lighting on my Gigabyte motherboard doesn't work properly.
Up from me...Beautiful build. LOVE the white aesthetic. But not a huge fan of the case. Needs cable grommets on the front and some better cable routing.
Absolutely beautiful build. Love the Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG SE. (I have the same case) That white interior is beautiful. <3
Respectfully, it feels like if you were going to remove all of the drive caddy's for a custom loop build anyways, there were better options in cases. Both in thermals and aesthetics (like a Fractal Define R6 or Meshify) where the front has 100% ventilation instead of only 1/2.
Its also worth mentioning that I think some other case options with a fully enclosed psu shroud would be optimal aesthetically for this kind of build.
Regardless... absolutely great work! Give me something to aim for in the future. Up from me dawg ;)
Absolutely NVME will have an affect on gaming... nvme is going to make a massive difference in LOAD times. Not to mention, make your normal computer usage much snappier in regular tasks, opening/closing programs, etc. and even MORE difference when moving large files (video editing, downloading large games, etc)
Generally there is a $20-$40 difference between buying a good sata ssd (samsung 860 evo 500GB - $80, crucial, etc) and an decent nvme drive (Adata XPG XS8000 512GB MLC - $104.99 on Amazon right now. (Its faster than the Samsung 970 evo and $35 less.)
Its worth every penny of the difference between buying a sata SSD if you ask me. But its becoming a pretty classic debate. Basically... if you're going to BUY an ssd of some kind... get the nvme m.2. Its a no-brainer. But, if you already have a GOOD Sata3 ssd you're probably fine saving the money and spending it towards something else.
but..... if you have no intention of buying a new monitor then a lesser gpu would adequately do the job. If your budget is a bit tight and you intend to play games on a 60hz monitor you could definitely get by on a 1060 3gb or RX 5 series card for $100-$200 less.
However, the GTX 1070 at the lower prices ($350ish) represent the best VALUE for the money. (Performance to dollar spent) Hence why the OP put it in this build. Its a PERFECT mid-teir card imo.
Most Semi-modular PSU's have all detachable cables with exception of the 24pin (which MUST be used anyways). So, to me, as long as a PSU has either semi or full modular its fine.
I would NOT recommend Corsair though. They have had some quality control issues in the recent past (according to reviews I've read.)
IMO EVGA makes some of the best psu's. They have decent bronze level psu's in the sub $50 market. However my recommendation with them is the EVGA 650GQ and 750GQ (650/750watt GOLD rated) which can be found on sale for $50-65 if you wait for the right moment. I have personally used the 650watt model and it has been a GREAT psu. Great overclocking and no issues what so ever. This is the one I would personally go for.
Hope this helps.
GREAT build ThoughtA! Bout the best computer on earth for $1000 and I will HIGHLY suggest it to people. Thanks for the write up!
We're all guessing you're wanting around $1000 for it... and you never posted an ACTUAL requested price. How much are you looking to get?
You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about. Not only have I had people ship an item first before, but I have had someone do that ON THIS WEBSITE. Lol.
I have paypal and several different methods of paying online and would gladly pay first in those situations. But some people don’t have paypal and prefer to do things old school.
lol... trust me I'm not sending a money order FIRST. seller would have to ship first if they want a MO.
I've got a 1060 6GB (that I payed $230 new) in the system I'm looking to upgrade right now. Thanks though.
I'll buy that GTX 1070 from you if you are interested in selling it separately. Very nice build btw... I loved my Skylake system and intended to run it beside my Ryzen system as a dual pc Stream setup but ended up giving it to my brother who was already streaming and needed a nice pc.
Understand if you dont want to part out but figured I would try. Good luck with your sale either way.
do NOT use ebay... they charge you a percentage of each sale. If you need to list parts you can do it here (as mentioned above), reddit/hardwareswap, google search for computer/pc forums, etc. Then you can use paypal to exchange funds. They protect both buyer and seller the same way ebay does.
Same card (except the newer version) is $559.99 right now on Newegg... https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487248&cm_re=EVGA_GTX_1070-_-14-487-248-_-Product
I would say closer to $450-$500 at most.
not to mention that 1070's are selling for way more than this. Hate effing lowballers. GTFOH.
you could have sold it for more... 1080's are going around $800-$900. I sold a 1070ti for $850 a week ago.
Thanks man... don’t know how I missed that.
Holy fans batman. 240mm and 360mm in PUSH/PULL... love it! Up for that sexy Deepcool Captain 360mm RGB white AIO.
God I love this part grouping... white themed build. Man after my own heart. Not a big fan of that case though. There's so many options for white cases. Just curious... why did you choose that one?
Cooler, memory, GPU, and PSU are all on my want-to-buy list. Damn man that 32gb of 4k!!!!!! So jely here.
no problem... I've been there. Also when you get time it would be great to get some pictures/links. Seems like a decent price for that build. Good luck with sale.
If you're interested in parting out the gpu I would be interested in it.
Skylake is also not 7th gen... its 6th gen. However the I5 7600k is Kaby Lake... which IS 7th gen.
How much are you looking to get for the computer?
Interesting... I haven't actually owned a 4 series card myself
750Ti is old... those cards are ancient relics and mantle pieces lol. Not even usable anymore except for things like basic video output and MAYBE for low res video playback (youtube on lower settings)
I wish I could afford this... unfortunately I was just trying to be helpful
I will PM you my address... lol
Kidding aside... I would probably post them on Imgur or Photobucket and post links here. easiest way for people who are interested to see them.
No problem... good price for that set. Just need pics and a timestamp.
I have a used AMD FX 4100 system $200 plus actual shipping or local pickup in NC.
No actually I meant that he intends to do a budget custom loop in THIS rig lol. Mainly using videos I showed him on YouTube of people doing $30-$50 loops on Q6600 systems. Will probably only do the cpu but still... its a GREAT way to get into liquid cooling. Those videos are what got me into PC building at all.
I’ve done a couple of these in Dell OEM cases (that I had to modify to get the gpu to fit) but for this one I wanted to avoid the reverse/mirror motherboard layout from OEM Dell Optiplex machines. I also had this case lying around and didn’t plan to use it on anything else. It was honestly a horrible case to work in. I will post some info in the review.
