Did you ever get around to taking a picture of your C7 fan mod? I would be very interested to see it.
Sharkoon Tauron - Green (apologies late reply)
Yep no issues here.
I will. firstly i need to stability test and lower vcore. 1.182 right now, load down to 60c. it might not be perfect but its more rewarding than just buying a "water cooling AIO". We are here to learn right? :) i would reccomend anyone to build a small loop to get an understanding of it. just from this build I have worked out many areas I could expand my next setup and make improvements.
PSU is doing great, it stays mostly in fanless mode as the power being drawn isn't very high. I am sure adding a nice GPU will bump that somewhat. under 100% load it still wouldn't come on.
I could of gotten a 660 Ti and an air cooler for the price of my setup. I do have extra tubing and valves sat in a box for when the right gfx and right gpu block fall into my possession. It's whisper quiet however which is great.
For a relatively unknown maker the air flow is nice, it has a nice design that matches my build and does what I need it to do at a fraction of the price of other cases.
I think I will but i'm keeping my options open firstly. Currently at 4.5Ghz on 1.2Vcore with load temps of 68-70.
I would invest in some cableties to help airflow. Where to go next depends on what you plan to use it for. For gaming a nice aircooler and the gen 3 i5 would be a nice start.for any use, an SSD boot drive, samsung and intel are generally in favour right now, would allow you some added performance.
Is this a bundle from a website or a custom build? either way its a good start although i5s offer more gaming performance per £ if that is your plan.
Sweet mother of cables. Nice build. I agree completely with zip ties.
Yes, the Snipers need to be added when you get a moment. Awesome work.
But seriously why bother to post without them?
"have you seen my i7 5770k Broadwell build? I have 8 GTX titans and 128GB 2400c7 ddr3 Ram. Pics to come soon I promise"
Yes, I paid £190 GBP for the i5 but they dispatched me the i7 which retails for around £280 GBP depending on offers.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-472-IN This is the one I bought. 20% VAT is the worst.
Like all cable management, taking time to plan everything first helps as do cable ties. I thought of my cables like a spine from the PSU and tried to keep them together until a certain cable needs to break away from the cord.
Love the build though, if I had of gone AMD it would of been something like this.
New cable management pics up. took about an hour to redo it all, I think its looks better, was certainly easier to get the back of the case on. :)
Love this case, very nicely done. The wires are not too bad, cable tidies would help alot.
Yeah i wish VAT would be abolished. Hate paying premiums for parts.
Just need the cpu block and pump and its a go ;). I have tubing, uv green liquid all the fittings and the rad/fans currently in a box.
Exactly this. The matx board has everything on the atx i will need as i have no plans for sli, crossfire. The difference in price is also a factor. Nearly 50% more for 1 or 2 pci-e? No thanks.
I'll add one in a moment. A little warning its not as good as I would of liked.
I was told to keep it 'green' by my other half. Not sure this was what she had in mind.
