So I made sure everything was plugged in tightly and also plugged into different outlet on different circuits. I can’t get another cord though because it’s a different plug. I don’t know if there’s anything else I can do
You could download live update which is an app off of msi's website and to u can download the drivers off of that.
It is an msi z370 sli plus.
I would look into the HyperX Cloud Flights. They are very comfortable and have great sound quality. The battery also lasts 30 hours which is a great bonus. They also have pretty good build quality even though they are plastic.
I would go with 8600k and 1080 ti. I have the same combo and works great at both resolutions. And a 1080 ti will give you better performance for gaming than the i7.
Thanks. I will have to mess around with the voltage then a little bit and find a good place. I just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't damage the card like a cpu if you make the voltage too high.
So I shouldn't touch the voltage slider at all then even if it says there is a voltage limit in furmark?
I would definitely get a 1050 ti then for newer games. 2gb of vram is starting to not be enough and the 4gb 1050 ti would do much better. So I would go for that.
It's just me because I'm the only one who games or notices small drops. It is also on my phone that that happens too.
Do you think it could be the router?
Yes I do have all the Windows updates. I uninstalled and reinstalled them earlier and tries it out but I still goes out randomly.
I have a netgear wifi extender near my pc, and then an ethernet connected into it. I updated the extender, the motherboard drivers, and the windows drivers too. I don't know what else to do.
Nevermind. I figured it out. The custom resolution in the control panel wasn't selected and it was still running at 60hz. That was a dumb mistake by me.
I tried that and set it to 75hz but when I'm in a game it says that it runs at 60. So I don't know if I did the settings wrong or something or if it is and I just don't know. Is there any other settings I have to change to get 75hz on all games?
Somehow I bought a brand new zotac 1080 ti amp on newegg for $850 or 685€
That's exactly what it was. Likely I saved a overclock in the bios and when i out it back on i wanted to see if there was any settings that changed, and at the bottom of the list it showed that it was changing the boot order back to my ssd so I figured out what it was. I forgot to post this earlier but thanks for replying.
Thanks lol. It was during a benchmark. The same things that it does in a benchmark though happen during normal play for me. I might sell my gpu now so I can get more than what I paid for it and then just wait for some to be back in stock at a normal price like on the nvidia website or something. But thanks for all the help and I am glad that my new 8600k isn't bottlenecking.
So I did another test with looking at the cores this time and not just the average, while the fps dropped down the core with the max usage was core 4 At about 56%. The other cores though were about split in the middle, 3 were above 40% while the others were in the 30% range. The core that had the max usage was also core 4, and that peaked at 81% while the others all peaked in the 70s. When the game got the cpu to peak at that it was running at 63 fps with vsync on, and the gpu varying from 65 to 85%. When the frames dropped down though the gpu was at 99 to 100% and all the cores were anywhere from 20 to 45%.
So I took ur advice on that and I used task manager and overlayed the usage on it. It was weird though because it said my gpu was pegged at 100% the whole time, which I knew it wasn't because the temps were low, so I used hwmonitor and looked at that well the frame drops happend and it was the gpu that was at 100%. Oh and i forgot to add that the cpu was only at 20-30% usage so I don't know what was going on with task manager.
I'm looking at the game on benchmarks and I think it actually is the gpu now. Whenever I'm doing a benchmark and it's normal stuff I can't get anywhere from 70-90 fps without vsync, but when the benchmark gets to the heavily textured areas, like the part where there is the waterfall, rocks, and trees, that's when the frame rates will go all the way down to 30fps, which makes me almost 100% sure it is the gpu.
Yeah. I just thought that maybe I would have to upgrade my gpu (which I still probably should eventually) to fix it. But u learn new stuff everyday
Yeah I have vsync enabled. When I turn it off it just goes to about 80 fps and the frame rates still vary a lot and drop like before. I just don't understand because without my 8600k overclocked it would just be steady frame rates.
If i upgrade my gpu will it most likely stop happening even though games like gta are cpu bound?
By frame rate drops I mean evrtime something happens the fram rate will go way down and then jump back up. I can get 60 fps but when it wasn't overclockied it would stay steady at 60 and the frame rate would not go down at all ever.
Probably around 15-25
Was there a reason why they stopped being made? Because after looking at the reviews on them they seemed very good.
Are you just adding another cooler to the list to look into or saying that the corsair would be the best choice to go with?
I worded that wrong I meant wipe it off the graphics card hope that works and then get a refund for the cooler. But thanks
I actually might take my chances with the captain 360ex just because its at a good price on amazon and Newegg and because it looks so good. My graphics card does have a backplate though and the cooler won't be over top so if it leaks at all hopefully I'll just be able to wipe it off and return it(If that works cause I don't know if the backplate will protect it).
Is there a big difference between the h115i pro and the h150i or is it not worth spending the extra money on the h150i?
What about a deepcool captain 360ex? I really don't wanna go air cooled because I really care about the looks too.
Alright thanks. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't do something wrong and those temps were crazy high.
That's when it's stress testing
I ended up buying the Season Focus Plus Gold just to be on these safe side with wattage and have very good quality.
I'll most likely get the seasonic focus now based on ur recommendation and a 4+4 pin eps is the same thing as an 8 right?
