Great build, only thing I would say about the build is that you could have just bought the 1600, but for what you do it looks like a reasonable investment. Ignore the people saying that it is overpriced because while it is, the build is great and will serve you great in the future. To note in the future, the MSI Carbon Pro mobo is literally a carbon (pun intended) copy of the B350 PCMATE, you may have wanted the aesthetics but is is not that noticeable anyway. Spending your money on a more reputable PSU may help really far down the line but the PSU you chose is still really good. Great job on your first build
If I'm not mistaken a lot of it is people jumping on the cryptocurrency trend. Issue being is that there are literally islands with massive machines and places in China that are dedicated to solely mine and so it has become near impossible to mine. People trying to mine now are somewhat insane, but at least they are trying.
Do people even research how difficult it is to mine nowadays, you would think people would stop since it is so unprofitable.
People are now mining with NVIDIA???
sorry man USD, no peripherals or os
TBH, I am completely fine with you purchasing that GTX 1060, you managed to get a phenomenal price for it and so it fits perfectly in the build. Sure the CPU may be a little weak for the GPU, but pretty sure he is happy with it and that is the main thing. Some recommendations though.
- Dual channel RAM, at the time the Ballistix Sport LT RAM (2 x 4GB) was actually cheaper
- Ryzen, maybe instead of purchasing the pentium, purchasing something with a much better upgrade path would work a lot better for example (Ryzen 3 1200 and a B350M PRO-VD = $166). While it may cost a bit more it may be worth it in the long run.
Perfect build for someone hunting for deals and I really do wish I purchased that 1060. :)
Have you tried reinstalling the M.2, right now that is about all I can really think about.
RIP RAM prices...
How do you guys manage to make such extravagant and beautiful loops like this.
Sweet Xmas build, seems great, maybe would have thrown in an m.2 for more speed, but still amazing...
Just a question, but wouldn't it be possible to just view the picture in full screen on that specific screen. It wouldn't have that annoying taskbar that is rn bugging me sooo much.
so pretty :)
Not sure what to say about this, SOOOO MANY LEDS, but your missing something very important, an rgb strip (Would be wayyyyy to overkill) but still.
How does the foam help?
tbh I think that the rainbow on the side looks sick
Well this is a fairly responsible build and looks pretty cool to. Not many responsible builds on pcpp.
Just a question, was it scary putting liquid in your pc. I personally can't handle it at all.
Dude this is spectacular cable management, teach me.
Nice man, not many people can get that high. Has it made your pc more snappy?
Build looks sick, did your ram managed to clock in at 3000? Also how is that ssd doing right now, I have seen many blues but not greens.
If you are going with the mobo and ram I would say it is very good. However since you are only getting one gpu a b350 would work just fine, however the X370 is definitely a great chipset.
I think this may be easier on your wallet and perform almost the same.
As long as you aren't planning on going sli
Alright, makes sense 120 is also a pretty good price for a 1050ti now, how is it holding up for you now?
Did you really need the m.2? you could have settled with the 850 evo and a 1tb hdd and gotten an even better gpu or did you buy both on sale?
Really nice build but one question, why didn't you get a z270 mobo when there are a few around that price point, it would really benefit the 7600k
Nice responsible name, not overkill for the games as they are fairly low power hungry. Only thing I would say is maybe add more ram.
I know this is a controversial topic, but it would be better that you keep the side panel on as keeping it open disrupts the airflow and may actually be heating up your components. Just my 2 cents but hell, if it works for you then it works.
