I use a cpu cooler like a Noctua Nh D-15 or the Sythe Fuma 2 for the CPU because there is less points of failure with air vs liquid cooling. A 3 slot graphics card with a beefy heat sink like the one on the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB FTW ULTRA SILENT GAMING Video Card using a aggressive fan curve preset on the overclocking software works great to lower temps.
edit: I forgot to mention air flow and to get a case like the Meshify C with a mesh front intake and populate it with a couple intake fans and at least one exhaust fan in the rear of the case
Thanks I will take more pics without window and try again.
You can probably get 3.9-4ghz with alot lower voltages and be stable. 4.1 ghz is tough on a 240 AIO unless you win the lottery.
I think it is your Gpu causing crashing in your games or currupt game files.
That is a very nice beast of a computer!
The Noctua chromax Black swap fans I bought off of amazon
lol the cooler came from my fx 8350 build and for ryzen it is a bit overkill. I would have used the cryorig h7 for this build had I not already owned the NH D-15. I may get a bigger and better case for my wifes computer then switch up the cpu coolers
After upgrading to ryzen I put my old fx 8350, motherboard, and ram with some other parts i had laying around in a old ancient case also. I modded the case with a hand drill to add 2 intake fans on side panel low. The case had a 80mm exhaust fan so I added another 120mm exhaust with my drill on top for much better air flow and it works great
Nice clean build! Name it Shadow
I wish I could afford a gtx 1080 ti I would put it on my fx 8350 system even if it did bottleneck the cpu :P Great build!
Great build! Did you use the D.O.C.P setting for your ram or try to manually set timings and set voltage a touch higher etc? You should be able to get more then 2400
I use a EVGA 650W GQ for my FX firstname.lastname@example.orgGhz and RX 480 have not had any problems at all and can run all the current games well that are out now. Using a psu calculator he is pulling a load wattage of 456w if his overclock on cpu voltage is set to 1.4 at 1.44 the draw is 464w. The recommended psu wattage is 506 and recommended psu is a 650w but 506 is min. I guess
I would have to disagree with it not being a wise pairing with a 1600x and a gtx 1080. A gtx 1600 can also be overclocked to the same performance as the 1600x but a 1600x is better binned chip and should be better for overclocking but that is not always the case due to the fact not all cpu overclock the same. The build guide "Great AMD Gaming Build" pairs a R51600 and a gtx 1080 so I guess I am not the only one that thinks it is a good pairing.
Great build! I love the upside down NZXT logo on the cpu cooler it makes it a non conforming statement.
Thx alot I am upgrading from a fx 8350 to a ryzen and will use my Noctua NH D-15 on it. The current Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 I am using is very thick and well made so it is good to hear Asus made the Strix B350-F just as well.
Great build! I have a question do you think the Asus Strix B350-F is sturdy enough for a heavy Noctua NH D-15 tower cooler?
Great build! I think a NZXT Hue+ would be nice addition to your build due to the dark tint on the TG.
44c cpu temp under load and 72c gpu temps does not sound like it runs hot. I think you are thinking of the FX series of cpu's
Nice build. Does having the cpu cooler horizontal work better than vertical?
Great set up what desk is that?
Very nice system +1
You wont regret it I upgraded my build with one and it is amazing. I forgot to mention that is a great build I usualy go AMD but I love your biuld
A NZXT Hue+ would really pimp that build a bit more if your into that :)
I wish my first build was a 6700k and 1080 :)
AMD has a agreement with their vendors for 7nm instead of 14nm on the next gen of cpu after zen so I bet that will be awesome.
I am thinking of getting another GPU to run in crossfire how has your experience been with running 2 in SLI is having 2 worth it?
My FPS in Battlefield 1 was 80Fps on average with stock settings on cpu and OC mode preset in the included Asus GPU tweak software on my gpu
I just bought BF1 2 days ago and will test to see what my FPS on ultra will be and give a update
Well it is a gamble when getting a fx 8350 and trying to overclock to the level of a 9590 anyhow so you made a good choice. the Noctua NH-D15 is the best Air cpu cooler and is on par with your liquid cooler but it might would have problems with ram clearance and case because it is so big.
Great build!!! I would have overclocked a FX 8350 and saved some cash but the 9590 will work I guess ;) I also would have used a Noctua NH-D15 with a 8350 to help cool VRM's also
+1 love the case and the fact your using a Amd CPU and GPU.
Air cooler tower like the Cryorig H7?
ok it is july 7th and no news?
still saves space :P
I would have added a Cryorig H7 cpu cooler, but what you have there still looks good.
Kind of the the power ball lottery. The only difference is the jack pot doesn't go up. could add food for each additional drawing I guess.
using the m.2 slot for the ssd saves space
The 22mm x 80mm ssd card lays flat and slides into the m.2 slot then screws lock it in place.
Thank you for your response. I was maybe a bit paranoid about the weight of the cooler . Red and white LED fans and maybe get some blue cables also might look good.
Does anyone know what kind of pricing and performance the zen will have?
Thank you for that info, is this any good? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KyCwrH/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st2000dm001
it is around the same price as the black and 2tb instead of 1
Dey not released yet doe ;) 10 days wait I hear
I have a BenQ GW2470H https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hLs8TW/benq-monitor-gw2470h
it has a VA panel and is great for watching movies because it is like a ips panel. it has a 4ms instead of 2ms like the one you chose but I like mine a lot. My monitor does great in gaming but I did notice some motion blur on high settings in arma 3 on multi player but bf4 and other games run great
I would get a RX 480 when it is release in 10 days, I was told the performance would be like a gtx 980 and is only going to cost 200 dollars the rx 470 performance will be like a r9 390 at only 150 dollars. I hope this is true because that means AMD is being competitive again.
I would also get a Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BL 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler if you plan on doing alot of overclocking. The Noctua NH-D15 is good also but a lot more expensive then the Phanteks being only around 10 dollars more then your choice. Make sure your case has clearance for the tall phanteks
I went with the https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JYyFf7/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr power supply on my build it is B2 and is a tier 3 power supply the g1 and g2 are better then my choice so I might reconsider
yea I think it was a joke and made me giggle a bit.
haha that is funny it brought up my build also wow we all have same builds
