ya a typo ill fix it
no my temps are great.. the problem was the motherboard was overvolting at first I got these when they first came out bios is a lot better now. not that I use stock voltage anymore having long sense figerd out the best volt and clock speeds for my hardware
super easy you unscrew the screw slide the drive in you will here a little click put the screw back, no heat issues that I can tell I don't really watch It tho its been very stable. I don't really transfer big files around or anything installing a video game is about the most strain I put on it but it does that very fast.
works like a champ, also they released a new bios that corrects the auto voltage(it was originally too high caused bad temps) love this board between this board and lights on my cpu cooler and graphics cards I don't even need case lighting I had got some originally you can see it in the pic but it was so bright right next to my face
what is your vcore at
that's got to be a bad pump
so at no load its running at 90c? what is your room temp?
when its running feel the hoses can you feel any running water?
also all those temp readings are at 69f room temp
true 90c idle is insane mine idles at 28-30 depending on the core
still thinking about replacing my cooling solution I've reset it a few times and I'm using artic silver 5 temps always seem about the same, I've been reading a lot that these chips just run hot and really hate voltage but I'm not sure still after weeks of testing and reseating lol, see my rig if you want to know full config
my i7-7700k runs hot but not that hot you need to undervolt it my board auto volts it way to much at 1.3v my temps hit over 90c stress testing prime 95 v26.6 and using core temp, but I can set the volts too 1.2v and overclock to 4.7ghz and it stays under 80c under prime 95 small FFT and is 100% stable. also I've got 1.12v at 4500mhz and its a lot cooler(max 71c on hottest core while stress testing) those are stress testing temps, temps under gaming are normally 10-15c lower or more ofc because the cores are not under 100% load.
Um hard to say the board has debug codes and debug led for CPU memory ECT check them see what the LEDs say reseat ram if you think it's memory I haven't had any problems my whole system boots in like 5 seconds without fastboot
I love doom4 but killing vega always makes me sad :(
It's pretty quiet now it was making alot of noise when using the cam software you're spossed to use with it like a loud clicking noise almost hard to explain.
Although I did get a free HB SLI bridge with my card lol
You ever have any noise problems with it?
Na don't think ima ever go the SLI route to much heat. Also I'm getting 200fps on doom4 how much more do I need lol.
still have a little more work to do should have some artic 5 in a few days and ima change how the radiator sits i don't like how the extra hose touches my video cards ima turn it around and put it to the far right see how that looks. :)
haha ya i took a big bite out of it, you know for perspective lol, and ty so much I'm so proud of her
good point maybe I should move mine
hmm not much for pictures or description
sweet rig +1
get the k7 version its the pretty much the same version w/o the core 3d sound
Nice build , way to keep your prices down
Need more pics that one is kinda blurry
my only question is why did you put the the drive in the m2 by the cpu why not the one farther away from the heat ?
I play games
Lol first thing I thought, budget build with a pricey Mobo but hey it's his buck. It is a nice MB tho gives him lots of room for expansion, still alot of nice z170 MB in the 150$ range would have done the trick could have got a decent SSD for boot drive with money saved IMO.
one hell of a gift :0
Nice build, might think about removing the smaller hard drive and using it as a backup. Then you would have room to properly mount the 1tb drive.
My son's 6 he just watches me play for now, although I bet I will be building him his own rig before long.
Nice build for the budget
Sounds good the video cards by then should be alot better, I'm personally hoping big Vega is a beast. Freesync screens are alot cheaper then gsync.
Love the doom reboot and waiting for the Vega card :D
Lol if you say so the future is HDR pushing higher resolution for small screens is pointless. I might consider 4k if they had faster then 60-75hz refreshes and there where single GPUs that could push them at those lvls, I can't ever see wanting 8k even 4k is overkill at 27 IMO. I know some guys who play at 1080p @27 and say they don't see any pixels. 2k is the sweet spot right now was just throwing that out there.
You also say 4k a lot many PC gamers prefer 2k and I agree. Might wanna brush up on monitor specs. 2k at 27 inch's is perfect and you get much better smoothness with 144-165hz and gsync free- sync and it takes alot less to drive so you might even get the fps to take advantage of the high refresh rates.
Think you should have got a i5 and used the money saved to get a 1070 I stead of a 1060 that's just me tho, the games you play don't seem that demanding.
Also skylakes memory controller is a little weak would have been better to go with 2x 16 kit for ram. Props on those headphones tho I have the same set and I love them
1000w PSU is overkill
good looking build, clean and balanced and a nice touch with the black and white 8pin ext. :)
oh for real because of your description I thought you where talking about yourself the whole time ahahaha. I was like this guy might have some bigger problems then needing a sweet gaming rig.
nice build, but you should be worried if you find yourself always referring to yourself in the 3rd person ;)
