Sorry for some reason I didn't get this message. What do you mean? "why you thought that?"
I already chose the Phanteks p400s :P
I know that, was planning on getting the x62 actually. Was just looking for other opinions on the subject though.
Also, post the build on "Completed Builds" once you make it :D
It should be fine, you're only using 2 2tb HDD and 1 SSD, so yeah.
No no, I looked into that, there are 6 SATA 6Gb/s ports on it, so I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have a problem with two of them being disabled.
lel I wasn't sure either.
Here it is! https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Cs24kT Right under 2000 Pounds. Should work amazingly!
No problem. Also... the PC should be done soon.
Yes it will :p
Here's what I'm working on for them. A 1070 for pretty much just gaming? He said he's going to be playing Witcher 3 and Wildlands. Though yours will work and work pretty well.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Yes, it's over budget. Working on that still.
Alright. And ram/memory, and how big does he want the SSD storage wise?
Any color theme? Also... PCI-E SSD? Those are extremely expensive. What about just an M.2 SSD? And how much ram? I assume 32 gb, but is 16 ok?
SSD is much better, but I would get maybe both. SSD is storage, but more expensive because it's much faster than a mechanical drive (or a HDD).
Yeah I've read that already xD I'm going with the S. literally 1 cent more xD
Oh also, should I get the p400s? The p400 and the p400s are the same price right now. I would like it to be quieter. :P
Alright. Not going to play Witcher 3 any time soon though, planning on playing games like Battlefield 4, Call of Duty, Just Cause 3, etc. So would the 1800/1800x bottleneck the 1080 ti?
Nice build, but why the 750W PSU? Just incase you add more stuff later?
Wow you almost the same PC as what I'm going to make xD Nice build dude :) Here's mine: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6tHJXH
I may go with the p400. Thanks :)
I can do that, but then I'd have to get rid of my optical drive... :( But I guess I can do without it :P
WOooooaaah. Beautiful build! +12 billion
Alright. But the point of the post was to find something that has the good stuff the R5 has, but also doesn't look like a rectangular box with a window. :P Basically something that would look nicer on my desk, preferably black/white, black, or black/red. My color scheme is white/black/red.
Looks sweeeeet. But why didn't you put in the part list? I know it's in the description but you could've done the markup thing. Anyways, looks epic! Love the all black stealth build.
Nice build :D
Exactly. Though what's a locked i7? Just no OC-ing?
Got a few tips. First, the cooler is way underpowered for that i7-7700k, meaning you're going to have to get a better one very quick. I'd recommend something like the scythe mugen 5, or NZXT Kraken x62 if you like watercooling. You're CPU will get way too hot. Second, the memory is DDR4-2400, but I would get DDR4-3000 or 3200. The forums here are very useful. They'll give you better advice than me, but those are just some things I would do. Edit: Oh! Also, that graphics card and CPU (i7-7700k), they're very powerful and I would get a 1440p or 4k monitor instead of a simple 1080p monitor. Dude, you should've done lots of searching online before just getting the most expensive parts.
Nice black and white build, and good job on the pictures. :) +1
Noice. I'd like more pictures though xD
Awesome build, good photos! :D +1
Looks awesome! Great build dude.
+1 respect for that cardboard job
Great build! But why the 1800x? I've heard that the 1700 works just as good for tons cheaper.
Great build! Though.. wouldn't recommend to put the headphones on the monitor, try a stand like these (for under your desk https://www.amazon.com/Anchor-ORIGINAL-Under-Desk-Headphone-Stand/dp/B00P31BMHG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493263408&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=headphones+stand&psc=1, and for above your desk either this one https://www.amazon.com/Headphone-New-Bee-Supporting-Headphones/dp/B01GJQ7N94/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493263408&sr=8-3&keywords=headphones+stand or maybe this one https://www.amazon.com/AmoVee-Acrylic-Headphone-Stand-Black/dp/B00SGW9QLS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1493263408&sr=8-4&keywords=headphones+stand) I have the last one myself, works good but it's not very sturdy, slides around my glass desk quite easily. Though you have wood so it might work a bit better ;P
Great build :) I'm actually building a quite similar PC. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7rK2NN
Alright I posted it lel
Yep. Very helpful :D Lot's of people could use this... maybe I can set up a reddit post on NZXT? If it's fine could I use what you just said? xD
Ok... pretty much confirmed after a bunch more reddit searching that the corsair AM4 bracket would work with the NZXT Kraken x62... still debating if I want to use that one instead though. It does look much nicer and, aswell as you telling me, I've heard that water cooling is more powerful.
Also I tried asking this on the pcpartpicker reddit but it hasn't really gotten any replies...
Do you know if the corsair AM4 bracket would work for the NZXT Kraken x62? I'm still considering it... sorta. Most of the bad reviews are either for the AM4 bracket not coming in or complaining about the Cam software.

Nevermind the monitor, I'm using that LG one you had in the second build I made for someone else for mostly business work.
Oh nevermind, says it's for DDR3 ram. Whoops.
