My name is Chris I live in the UK, I got into PC Gaming about 3 years ago after dumping my Xbox 360 when it was made redundant by the Xbox One and I will never go back.
I prefer Intel over AMD but the argument for AMD is perfectly valid though they are currently getting outdated.
I prefer AMD GPUs over NVidia for most of the competing cards 380 Vs. 960 390 Vs. 970 however they are not able to compete at the top end e.g. 980ti,Titan X
I also tend to look into the 'lesser known' brands and generally they match or even outperform some of the 'better known' brands e.g. Enermax make an excellent dual rad cooler but few people buy it, instead they buy H100 which is more fragile than the pins on AMD CPU's and beQuiet actually make very good power supply's like the Straight Power L9 is a good unit and the Dark Power 10/11 are even better. Of course some of them are junk and I try to steer budget users away from 'seemingly good' components which seem fine on paper but not in practice.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about components and I will try to be as unbiased as possible whilst being reasonable. My opinions can be changed on things I haven't personally used but anything I have experience using or know a lot about my opinion is pretty well set and is hard to change.
