Comment reply on Forum Topic "MSI B450 Mortar, WHY"

I personally am very irritated that they pulled the mortar series, it was literally the best mobo for ANY ryzen cpu. But literally the only board i have to choose from now is msi gaming plus but only 2 dimm slots is stupid. Asus b450m-a prime... no heatsink but very high ratings and great board aside from the lack of heatsinks.... and the b450 TUF... honestly i shoukd buy it right now. The only gripe is the yellow accent but idc because at this point... ugh. Its a great board. Why msi... why. The bazooka plus is alright but i shouldbt have to pay a premium for something downcut.

Did you use the rgb / usb header off the cooler? And which header did you plug in to the mobo?

so yours came with two eps cables then? not just one? And yes you're correct, eps = cpu power

How are you running a mobo that requires a 8+4 eps on a 650w psu that only has one 8pin eps.... im getting the same mobo / cpu very shortly.

Well done!

its literally a $15 difference, i happen to also have a 500gb crucial ssd as a secondary. i heard the m.2 ssds are a bit faster. so i'd be willing to give it a try. Thank you for the tip tho

Hey thanks for posting this build, i know corsairs led and rgb are the same hight / size, vs the lpx which is low profile... is the fan touching or pressed up against your ram? I'm going with the dr3 / corsair ram and would love to have their rgb, however, ram is ram.

Thanks again for making such an awesome build :)
