Awesome so far. I am not a cpu overclocker, but a sucker for silence. So this one fit perfecty. Runs at 40 Celsius idle with the "quiet" fan preset (it is silent).

Great cpu, decent price, runs cool with stock cooler (which was super easy to install), which also is not very loud.

This CPU was the right price to performance for this build. Four cores clocked reasonably high and extremely low temps with the MX-4, it works well for anyone looking at decent multi-core performance. Performed correctly out of box - only issue was the mass of cables in the mini-itx system stopped the cpu fan the first couple of boots causing some overheating problems, a situation I soon remedied.

Very fast i5 and does everything I can ask for, nice and cool with plenty of speed for most gaming needs without the need of overclocking. This saves me money on the cpu cooler as well! I bought this during black friday on tigerdirect with a visa checkout promo which came out to $165 no tax, free shipping. Definitely a steal and I think I got the most bang for my buck.

A nice quad-core CPU capable of gaming. This CPU might be possible to overclock if the rumors are true and your Z170 motherboard has a "hacked" BIOS.

Runs cool and quiet on stock cooling and performs wonderfully for gaming and productivity applications. A great chip for the money.

works great! ugly cooler, but a easy way to save $100+ bucks on a build if you are not looking to overclock with the i5-6600K - which also needs a separate cooler.

Very decent CPU for the price, iGPU will run most games at 720 just fine. Skylake is becoming my new favorite.

from completed build Bitfenix Prodigy Workstation v1

This is a great mid-range processor. Performance wise, it lies just before Intel's massive price spike, so is good for budget builds. It functions great for complicated vector graphics and 1440p video editing.

Great entry Skylake CPU. Doesn't bottle neck 970, and added with a Z170 chip-set, going to be great when I get an aftermarket cooler and do the BCLK trick.

10/10 would CPU again
