from completed build Very Quiet Very Quick Gaming Rig

The MSI 1080ti Lightning Z is a fantastic card, in benchmarks under utilisation I've not seen it get over 68c, and it does this while remaining quiet. All of the 1080ti cards after the FE version perform pretty close to each other, the major differences are the sound and heat output, this card is quiet and cool. I couldn't be happier than I am with this one, well worth the money.

    from completed build Birthday PC

So fast, so quiet. This really is the best card you can get. No need to worry about the silicon lottery since they've already binned this product to the best chips. 10% performance increase over my Gaming X at the same temperatures, all while keeping the fan spinning at 50% instead of 60%. This isn't to say 10% better OC, just 10% better when undervolted.
