from completed build Razer Triskelion Green/Black Gamer System
Black and Green, MSI build quality is excellent, fans don't spin when idle and they are very quiet when running Skyrim at Ultra or Diablo III at max settings. Haven't tried the DSR option, since my screen is 1080p and this card should be overkill for everything we can throw at it it might be fun to try rendering games at 4K and putting them on a 1080p screen. Only coil whine I heard was during the Windows SAT Assessment tool. I have not heard any other noise from it during regular use or benchmarking so either I'm lucky or the reports of coil whine are greatly exaggerated.

Better version of the standard version of the MSI 970. I like how it looks with it's backplate too. I wanted to go with a little bit of green so that did influence the decision too.

Backplate included. Green LED and green accents. Upgraded from a Asus GTX660 OCC and very happy with the purchase. It was a limited run really happy I chose this GPU.

Has been reliable since I purchased in 2015. Will be very sad if I had to replace it. Runs smooth and quiet handles most games still in High to Ultra!

from completed build Xatalic's first gaming $2000 CAD Black, Red, Bit of Green and Blue build!
The 970 was a great decision! I'm very glad I decided to save up on like an extra $400~ by buying this rather than a 980 ($200+ for 5%~ FPS increase) or a 980Ti which like I said was like an extra 400 dollars. I'm planning to SLI in the future and they gave me a deal on this one at my local NCIX instead of the Red one because this was the last one they had. Also this came with a backplate whereas the Red one does not. It runs every game I've played so far on Max settings with 0 problems. I feel like I'm playing games for the first time! All those years I played games it feels like I was being cheated to!

Cool, quiet, sleak, and the green glow is a nice touch.

Bought it while the Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain promotion was happening. Metal Gear is one of my favorite series and it's really great to get a new card with the game. I'm really looking forward to the open world gameplay and new stealth tactics. A bit disappointing that David Hayter isn't voicing snake, but that's okay. I'm sure that the action will make it completely unnoticeable. Oh, and the card is pretty good.

Sweet performance and I'll have to take the word of official reviews claiming this as one of the quietest since I don't have anything to compare it to. But it needs lots of case cooling if you want to keep the fan speed down.

from completed build My First Rig....
This particular card gave me nothing but issues. Random driver crashes and it was generally unstable. I ended up selling it off and bought an R9 390. Im not looking back.
The individual i sold it too, has zero issues with it now, so i don't know what was wrong with it.
