Originally I bought a 1TB of Samsung 970 Evo Plus, but I loaned to a local tech website as they were asking for one to conduct a NVMe SSD shootout. However, the editor-in-chief asked me if he can pay me for the drive due to some damage to the physical appearance during their test. At the same time he advised me to get WD Black based on attained result at that time. (Finally, the Samsung drive died of high temperature during torture test. LOL)

Kicks ***. One of the best performing m.2 drives I've owned. Haven't utilized gen4 yet, picking that up once the aqua is in place with the loop.

Did I need this? No, no I didn't. But I hear it's one of the best SSDs you can get. One of the last parts chosen, I went with the M.2 form factor, as I didn't want to have extra cables to work with in my already cable-ridden PC. Also, I hear that it's in video editing that the difference between NVMe and SATA starts to really kick in. Windows boots up in less than 10 seconds, but something tells me it would do that with a SATA SSD. This WD drive also looks pretty nice as well, an goes with the theme.

It's not the cheapest and not the fastest NVME drive out there. However, at the time of purchase, this was on sale and I prefer dealing with WD if there would be a need for RMA /support. I can't say the same for other brands but I've had to deal with another manufacturer who makes very fast SSD's (without mentioning the name brand) where it took me almost a month to get the replacement process started. Two months to actually get the drive replaced. WD stands by their products and I might get another 2TB version of this drive when prices get better.

This is such a beast. My computer boots in seconds and games load so much faster than I've experience before. I used to use loading screens as bathroom breaks... Can't do that anymore with SN750!

Almost as fast as a 970 Evo at an excellent price point. What's not to like?

Using this as my main game drive. Everything loads instantly. Fast af, as advertised. It's reliable, WD, doesn't overheat, doesn't make noise... Will get another one or a 2TB one for sure ASAP.
