I'm using this to game on 1080p at 60 FPS and works out awesome with two new features I'm in love with using, one of its features called Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) "Get quality that rivals 4K, even on a 1080p display, designed to automatically re-render games at higher resolutions and dynamically rescale them for HD displays at higher quality and visual details."
Then there is Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC) "Fine-tune your graphics with real-time frame rate control limiting the target frame rate during gameplay, reducing GPU power consumption." I can keep games at a low 60FPS as my 1080p 40'' TV isn't the best 60Hz out there
One of the best GPUs on the market (at the time of writing) the price is also very reasonable. I find it difficult to make this GPU perform bad. Maxes every game at 60+ FPS. I only bought this over the 390 because I had spare money, even though the 390X does perform better it's only a slight performance increase and not worth the extra £60. I recommend creating a custom fan curve for this card due to the card being able to turn of it's fans completely. If you put the minimum fan speed at 25% you'll reduce temperatures whilst gaming significantly.
I love this card it runs every game on ultra!
Very expensive but incredible performance, so far it's run every game on maxed out settings at 60+ fps. It can get fairly loud at times, but the included desktop app makes it fairly easy to regulate fan speed.
A good video card that can handle all today's games and not ridiculously expensive. Quiet, I haven't heard it at all, through games and benchmarks. Runs hot; idling around 40C and peaking at 75C in a 20C room, although my case's airflow is not ideal.
Fans stop in idle. No overheating (70°C under load)
Google translator: I recommend it to everyone, running Battlefield 4 resolutions: "1080p (above 110FPS)" / "1440p (WQHD above 70FPS)" / "2160p (4k above 35fps)"
Portuguese Original Text: Recomendo a todos, rodando Battlefield 4 nas resoluções: "1080p(acima de 110FPS)" / "1440p(WQHD acima de 70FPS)" / "2160p (4k acima de 35FPS)"
This thing have a secondary function: my radiator on cold days... Clock rate stays at 1080 MHz sometimes even under 0% load...
It's pretty nice, sitting comfortably between GTX 970/980 in terms of performance and price, pretty decent.
MSI's shroud design remains aesthetically dominant over the other manufacturers, but this shroud design is a little heavy, and that causes it to sag a little more compared to ASUS/Sapphire's shrouds.
Great card, got it for £325 on sale from Overclockers so was a fair bit cheaper than a GTX980. I've currently got it running at 1160MHz with the occasional artifact flashing up, but only for a split second. No performance drop between 1080 and 1440 monitors. Tends to run around 50deg idle but only because of MSI's fan profiling. Can get up to 80deg on GTA 5 with 95% fan speed.
Great price to performance gpu. Only one displayport is annoying and limits the card. Does a great job in most games.
Edit: runs very hot in some dx12 games (hitman especially)
