I am starting a build almost from scratch, I need help with the case I have.

Hey all, I have this old Ibuypower case that my brother does not need. It came from this prebuilt from a few years ago

https://www.newegg.com/ibuypower-extreme-ne602fx-gaming-entertainment/p/N82E16883227477?Item=N82E16883227477

I am a newbie, and essentially want to put a budget AMD build into this thing to play Rainbow 6 Siege as best I can for around $400-500 USD.

Is this case still good? What do I need to look for in parts to make sure its compatible? Is it the MOBO that accesses the optical drive and front USB ports?

Thanks and sorry for my general lack of knowledge. I am looking forward to this project and hope to have a PC I can build from for years to come.

That case would work OK, but you may need some extras to compensate for a few things.

First of all, you may need to buy a converter cable to get a newer motherboard working with the front panel USB (only about 5 bucks off amazon)

Optical drive can be hooked up easily (runs off SATA, but I doubt you'll use it)

As for your hardware, get this

Thanks much for your reply!

Do you think I could do something like a Rx 570 instead of the GTX 1650?

There is a 580 right now for $160 as well: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/M7L48d,4LcRsY/

Oh, I just remembered, I have this PSU

it is rarely used, would it be sufficient for the build you suggested? thanks!!

A Corsair CX 550 would be that you would need for a budget PSU.
