Can anyone recommend me a good M.2 SSD to pair with the B450 Tomahawk mobo? I’m looking for something under $100 USD that’s 1TB in size.

Those are the NVME drives worth consideration.

If you must be under $100, then you're either looking at something like a 660P with higher latency and very low endurance, or a SATA M.2.

By my figuring, if you can't afford to get an M.2 in there that actually takes advantage of the PCIE interface and NVME protocol, then don't waste the slot. Save it for sometime down the road when you can afford an SSD that makes use of that slot. If $100 is the limit, get a 2.5" SATA SSD instead, so that your M.2 slot is free to add rather than replace storage later.

Corsair would be your best bet although it is 30$ over your budget. Although if you can't move on price the Crucial is your best bet. PCPartPicker Part List

That team drive is still sata SSD so youre only getting small form factor but not PCIe speeds. Id recommend the crucial P1 or Mushkin Pilot 1TB for ~100 price point.
