Just having them in your system? No. Technically you could put them in RAID but it is generally not a good idea.

Some people will use the SSD as cache for the HDD though which is far more popular.

If you just have an HDD and SSD, no. If you put them in RAID, then yes, but that's pretty useless, since you'd get the capacity of the SSD and the speed of the HDD
