the panel itself is of reasonable quality for the price. the issue is that scepter takes many of the reject panels from companies like samsung and either fixes them up or they simply have 'acceptable' issues such as a dead pixel. for me, I'm not disturbed by one or two dead pixels on a budget display (unless its in the center or something), but many people would be. for best quality, I would recommend something else. good budget 1080p 144hz monitors are made by benQ and viewsonic. dell too on some models. its not like you couldnt try it and see if it was fine. if you can get it through amazon, that would be best in terms of no-hassle returns.

If all you want is 1080p, then yeah it's not too bad.
