Ryzen needs 2 sticks of memory to work well or it is slower. I would probably try for a 1tb nvme and get a hdd later, the intel 660 is around 100 and makes a fast budget OS drive, or get the 512 version. That mobo has no sinks on the VRM, may not be good for any overclock.
Thanks for the advice! This is my first PC build, so I'm just guessing at a lot of the compatibility. Is there a mobo you would suggest that would work within my build?
probably either the Asrock B450M Steel Legend or the MSI B450M PRO-VDH
MSI B450 Tamahawk is also a good lower cost board, it depends on features and budget you want pick one of suggested. 2 intake 1 exhaust is usually good, figure the PSU blows a little out also but usually not a lot.
for micro atx
I missed that, matx selection is more limited.
Thanks for the edits! I'm kinda fumbling about in the dark in regards to optimal part compatibility, so this is great.
I was reading that you're supposed to have at least two case fans, one for intake and one for outflow. What are your opinions on this?
Yep, one intake and one exhaust fan will do the job just fine.
Having a positive pressure (more intake than exhaust) sometimes achieves better results.
Thanks! I just realized that the case comes with 2 fans so your edit to the case fan parts makes sense now.
Yep, it comes with two 120mm intake LED fans but no exhaust fans.
So, i added one! :)
