First pc. Questions about rgb.

Building my first pc, I bought a Gigabyte z390 Aorus Pro motherboard, also bought 3 Cooler Master rgb fans, and I plan on buying a ml240 rgb AIO. Do I need to buy the rgb hub to use cooler masters rgb software to set custom colors? Or can I just plug everything into the rgb headers on my motherboard?

EDIT: I also have a lian li lancool one digital case which has it's own hub. Can I use that instead?

I'll assume you are talking about the MasterFan Pro Air Balance RGB (if not, please specify what actual fans you are using).

It looks like these fans use the standard 12V G R B pinout. In that case, you could just use the headers on your motherboard. If you have more fans than headers you can pickup a RGB splitter cable such as http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cooling-rgb-accessories/1-to-3-rgb-splitter-cable/

The only place I could actually find any information on the Lian Li RGB hub was at http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=182462. The connectors look like 3 pin which usually means they are addressable LED instead of the standard single color RGB. Short answer is "no", you cannot use the Lian Li hub in this case.

The ML240 AIO appears to come with MF120R RGB fans. These fans are addressable RGB which would be separate as well. You'll need to use either the included controller or a addressable RGB splitter which can translate the regular RGB to it such as http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cooling-rgb-accessories/argb-1-to-3-splitter-cable/

Sorry for the late response. I was talking about the argb fans. But I did want to save a little money and buy the non addressable rgn AIO. After the last guys response I just went for it and got the argb AIO as well.
