Proyect Osiris: The little 4k workstation

Hello guys!

So this is a long term proyect since i already have a Gaming PC in my house not too old and perfectly capable to handle all my needs (except 4k gaming).

The story of this proyect came this way. First a new iMac was bought in the office for the main designer. I saw that 5k display and fell in love with the sharpness of it. I had to have something like that. So i search and found this beutifull display Dell Ultrasharp U2718q (wich ill be buying for my "Old" Pc wich has a Gtx 980).

Then i found about this beutiful small case Lazer3D - LZ7 wich you can totally personalize and they even have wood panels!, i must have it. Yet, i already have a pretty nice PC in my house for gaming and photo editing (full size tower). So i though my office PC might need an upgrade and the size would be an awesome look for the office.

What do you think of this list? Aesthetically? Functional for vector design in Illustrator, photo editing in Photoshop/Lightroom and light 2d work in autoCAD?

The keyboard will be a Logitech Craft wich i couldnt find in the partlist.

Since its a long term proyect i might wait until a mini version of the new nvidia RTX cards to appear to start this. I would really appreciate some suggestions for cpu fan and case fan, since im not really sure how it would look with the case, i might prefer something black, any suggestion?

I would replace the boot drive with a 500gb SSD for the same price and keep the M.2 for the scratch drive like your saying.

Cant do that, the case only accepts 2 2.5" Drives, and the MOBO has place for other 2 M.2 drives. Ive heard this terminology before (scratch disk) what do you mean by that or where can i find some info about that? I use that disk for current proyects, not cache or anything else, just the files of my current proyects.

It might be a good idea to have 500 gb for a boot drive for the future, i will take that into considaration

If you're going that far you might as well go for the latest A12x25 PWM for the case fan. :-) They were hard to get for a while but I see they are now listed on amazon.

According to this: Instruction Manual LZ7 the case cant support anything larger than 15 mm deep fans.

Would you recommend a better slim fan? Thanks

Hmm, in that case I guess stick with what you have listed.
