What are your guy's opinions on Norton Security? I've heard a lot about them being very overrated.

I've used Norton for several years, comes free with my ISP, like almost everything in computer, it's gotten better over time. Today's Norton works great, I only use the minumin features. In additon, I use Malewarebytes Pro. Together, they have kept my system fully protected, I haven't had a problem in years.

Also, give this a good reading, before you make your discussion.

I have used Norton for years and I find it works great, people hate on it but I have never had any problems with it.

Once upon a time Norton was essentially terrible bloatware. Based on lab testing and reviews it is a respectable solution these days, but there are a lot of solutions I'd prefer over Norton.

On top of this, I generally don't recommend paid solutions for personal use, further pushing Norton to the bottom of the list for me.

As far as I am concerned, Norton is bloatware. Try removing it from a system, good luck. It has the habit of fighting you. I would put Norton as the same level as McAffee, the bottom of the pile. v

There's a reason Norton comes bundled with prebuilt systems and with internet packages, no one buys it or uses it otherwise. IMO most people will be just fine with Windows Defender paired with Malwarebytes.

I find Norton rubbish - in my opinion it's bloat, and sucks at removing anything.
