SSD Size Question!

I have a big question about SSD and was thinking about getting the Samsung 840 EVO 250GB.

I want to put my main programs that I will be using such as - Adobe After Effects - Sony Vegas Pro - Cinema 4D (7 other programs)

that way it can load up very fast when I need them.

Is 250GB enough? Should I get myself 500GB or 750GB?

I have 4TB HDD for storage of videos and many other things (small programs, etc..)

What should I store on my SSD? What is preferred?

I just want somebody to give me their opinion on what should be used for SSD and HDD, just a general discussion.

Thanks!

Anything that you want a faster startup for, you put on your SSD. For example, OS, programs, some games. Everything else, the slower HDD. You should be fine with 250gigs.

That makes sense. If I ever need more space, can I just add another SSD? I just can't afford to spend $500 on just a SSD but maybe just add another when needed.

Yes you can. It'll show up as 2 separate drives though unless you put them in RAID

What does that mean? Putting them in RAID?

General practice, operating system and programs in SSD. Data on mechanical hard drive(s).
