SSHDs use SSD caching, which is not the same performance as an actual SSD. In fact, most, if not all, hybrid drives are rated around 5400 rpm. I'd just get a normal hard drive at first, then buy an SSD later down the road, or vice versa

Niche product. Definitely do not expect it to supplant SSD and/or SSD + HDD combinations.

if your tight on money and want ssd performance but cant buy the separate 120-240gb ssd it is a good middle ground. its also good even if you buy a ssd later because it uses most commonly use fils to know what to store on the ssd so even for a mass storage device it has its .
