Hello everyone, I would like an opinion on this psu by people who have/had this. https://it.pcpartpicker.com/product/ptrcCJ/cougar-gx-s-650w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-gx-s650

Modern (half bridge LLC resonant with DC-DC converters) platform with good voltage regulation, ok ripple and quality components, low hold-up time, so-so fan (cheapest bearing) and 5 year warranty... But I don't have it so I guess my comment doesn't matter? :p

Well thank you, it's always good to see somebody analyze it but I'm waiting for the owners' opinion anyway

Owner’s opinion means nothing. All they can say is that it turns on. Only reviews that matter are the professional ones. More info on my profile.

It’s an okay unit. Performs well enough but has mediocre build quality.

You should not choose a PSU based on user reviews/thoughts since it is totally meaningless. They can not test performance) which Orion mentioned above or build quality which he also mentioned above. PSU's are highly complex parts, your average joe can't just download some software and get results for it like you can with a GPU or CPU. Its like asking what a 10 year thinks of a car vs. what a engineer knows about it from testing it and taking the entire thing apart.

To LostElement and vagabond139 Well first of all thank you for the advice, anyway I wasn't looking for the average Joe review, I was more on jonnyguru kind of review, so thank you for giving me that link, if you know more like this sites please send them to me

Tom's Hardware is excellent. They go more in depth on their reviews.
