Need suggestions for HTPC CPU and MOBO

losse

The sata ports on my old old mobo for my home theatre pc are dieing. Figured i'd start with the CPU.

Any suggestions for a small mobo and a cpu to replace it. Its all well over 10 years old so want to get something new. I can fit a small tower or similar case in my tv stand and use a bluetooth remote to control it. Currently using a mid tower case.

Preferably something with usb 3.0 and onboard graphics or a cpu with graphics enabled that is strong enough to play HD vids without a hickup. Don't care about gaming on it, BUT if its just like 10 or 20$ more for a lot faster CPU, might as well do that.

Also needs to have at least 4 sata ports, more is better.

OR if anyone has other solutions thats fine. I have media on 2 - 3tb HDs and use a 1tb HD as the boot drive with win7. Also use xbmc.

You might want to consider:

Intel Pentium Processor G3420 3.2 GHz with the Asus Micro ATX DDR3 1333 LGA 1150 Motherboards B85M-G.

I would consider AMD's APU cpus for a HTPC. Do you have a microcenter near by? They have good CPU/Mobo bundles.

Thanks guys, I will look these over. I don't think so on microcenter.

Just a Fry's and Best Buy. And the Fry's is kind a haul so the 12$ i can can pay for shipping lol.
