My friend thinks SeaSonic PSUs will catch fire. Is this true?

Anything will catch fire if you try hard enough. ;)

No, Seasonic is a good brand. Just be sure to read reviews on any product you buy; but in general, they're a great brand for PSUs.

depends. any psu can catch fire under the right consitions. some of their cable work hasn't been too great in the past. seasonic is one of the best manufacturers of power supplies and this fact is incredibly well known.

This one is a much better listing to use. It gives you a lot of info for psus, including review links (if it has one). The tier list is flawed.
