Hello guys,

I am making a fairly mid range cheap pc but i cannot figure out the correct wattage to get.

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/DLm6t6

logicalincriments is suggesting a seasonic 620w (as you see in my build) but I doubt it needs so much!

Also if you want/can suggest a sub 50 euro compatible pc case i'd be happy too!

Thanks!

Anything more than 450W - 500W should be sufficient.

I thought maybe i'd get 550W?

But then why the hell was i suggested 620W?

You definitely don't need a 620. Even 550 is more than you need. Can't hurt anything. Your PSU will only draw the wattage required by the pc.

Just make sure it's good quality.

Who suggested it? Hahaha. I mean, it certainly wouldn't hurt to have more just so you have room to expand later if needed. But no...you really don't need 620W for that system. 550W sounds like a good one to get.

And good quality.

Don't forget that! :P

Well, of course. Just thought that was implied. =)

Okay last question I promise! So 550W is ideal, now you guys said a good quality one.

Do you have any suggestions?

I would stay with seasonic

The ssd is a few years old I think, you can prolly get a newer & better performing model for a few euro more.

You have a mobo & extra cpu cooler which is usually for overclocking but the cpu is locked (no oc), you need to switch to the "k" variant if you wanna oc it.

I would recommend 318/0.65 = 489 ~ 500W PSU

(Ideal range of operation for a PSU lies somewhere around the 65% region)
