This is the build I'm going for, trying to keep the cost as low as possible.

I will be adding extra drives, probably 2xhdd 3tb and a pcie ssd.

Thanks, that's a fair bit cheaper. I was wondering if I was a bit overpowered.

You're build could probably run off of 400w . The CX series power supplies are overpriced, and aren't that good for the money.

There is a 4 week delivery from Amazon on the XFS, everywhere else is considerably more expensive.

Try this one. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9 It is still a very high quality unit.

There is also this one, if you are willing to stretch your budget a bit. I would take it over the XFX one. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs0550v1

Thanks for the advice, I did look at the EVGA previously, it was the price that put me off a little. I could stretch to that if you think it's worth it and would prefer a modular psu. I have a fractal define r4 case and want it to be as efficient as possible. The PC is mostly for photo/video editing and maybe light gaming.

IMO, the GS is worth it. It silent, too. If you aren't overclocking you could go with this unit. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ss430st

Just ordered the EVGA, had a £10 promotional code so it only cost me £47 on Amazon. Thanks again for your help.
