See I looked this up, and I get mixed opinions about RAM, with most people leaning towards 16GB.

Then again, it really depends on what kind of rendering you're doing, but I find generally 16GB is enough.

It depends on what programs you run. Running demanding applications from Adobe and Autodesk require a level of hardware and architecture beyond what is found in typical gaming rigs to make their processes run smooth and cut down the duration of projects in the rendering phase. A gaming focused rig, daily office user will run fine at 8GB but probably will tap into virtual memory occasionally.
