After upgrading from the previous i7 920 to the 3770k, it worked great for all of a day or so, Until the P8z decided it wanted to show me it's VGA led. With all of the research i could do, nothing could mitigate this issue. I started looking for a replacement motherboard, to find that there are little to none available for the LGA 1155 platform, so I quickly gave up on that angle. This is why it's always better to buy new.
So on with the new and hopefully the final build an pics.
Upgraded to a I5 4690k, has been great thus far. Using OC gene for a quick and easy 4Ghz until I have time to play around with an Overclock. Idles really cool being cooled by the H100i. Although i'm really curious if the cool temperature is due to using arctic silver instead of the thermaltake Tg-3 compound.
With the upgrade I went on and got an EVGA Sli bridge, simply for aesthetics. Along with the mismatched fans XD
Aannndd that's all that's new....
Can't really give a review until i play around with overclocks.
Keeps the CPU very cool on idle and under load. and Corsairs software that manages this is very easy to learn/use.
Good bios with all the features I wanted...Minus an optical audio.
RAM, it does it's job.
I've had a single 970 for over a year and adding a second has been a great experience thus far. Not many games I have that doesn't support running SLI, and the aesthetics or dual cards with an EVGA bridge is ****...IMO
Love this case, It's small with a huge window. the only issue I have is how easily the window scratches.
Easy to build in, cable management isn't the best unless you remove the SSD tray.
