Description

I Present Project "Citrine"

[Video presentation] (https://youtu.be/PsEbHmD4L4Q)

My first Hard loop, and biggest sponsor rig to date!

features a lot of custom parts, designed and manufactured by myself and my brother. we got a small company called Modbrothers, that makes custom water cooling gear ;)

Custom res with an integrated pump, implemented in the top of the case. nerve-racking to cut that big a hole in that case!

Custom Distro-plate in the back, making the runs much cleaner, with an addressable RGB strip

Custom acrylic signs, with a ROG inspired pattern and some sponsor names. All lit up with Adressable RGB Strips incorporated in the signs. hold in place by 3D printed brackets.

Plus custom cables from SoloSleeving, that really tightens it all together.

The whole theme of this build, it that it goes with ANY color coolant! all parts are silver/chrome, clear, white, grey and black. so just changer the coolant and switch the lights, and its a whole new theme going ;)

All accent lights are driven by ASUS Aura, and fan lights are driven by the EK Connect (Beta)

SLI in 2019 :/

  • 2 points

depends on the need. in this case its Nv-Link. and rendering 3D on the GPU's the stack-able memory, and 2 RTX cards in Nvlink, gives me an 7x performance boost over 2x1080ti's. so yea, it does make sense :)

  • 2 points

Oh ok, I thought it was for gaming. But isn’t V-Ray the only one supporting stackable memory?

  • 1 point

Octane will. soon :P waiting on it. plus the RTX support will come soon too..

  • 2 points

amazazing! You guys did all the distro plates?

This is by far my favorite build I've seen so far. Just curious, do you see any value in the SLI 2080Ti's? I am about to build a new one and am thinking of going the SLI route but reviews go back and forth. Love the build!!

  • 1 point

thanks man :) regarding SLI, it kinda depends. I love it, and wouldn't be without it, but i use it for 3D renderings as well, and not just gaming. but the games that use 2 cards (far cry or instance) oh damn its a pleasure to use :)

I never experienced any problems with it, like others. sometimes, that one cards, just sits there and does nothing. thats it

  • 2 points

That is beyond something that I would have ever thought of ever building +1
