I decided a while ago I wanted to watercool my current custom built, but the insane pricetag on a copper or nickel loop was way over my budget. Then I found EK's fluidgaming lineup. This build is my first watercooled one, and it was an adventure. For a first time watercooler, the manual from EK was helpful, but I really only needed it for the GPU pads and CPU backplate. The loop leaked around the GPU plugs, but it was minor and was dried up easily.
Overall, despite the negative reviews on the a240G I am really impressed with the quality for the price in all of the parts included, and the temps I got after installation. However, the bracket that came with the pump really isn't "universal" for most cases. You'd need to have fan mounts in the bottom of your case. Since I don't have any bottom fan mounts, I modded the case by drilling holes in the PSU shrowd. It worked ok, but the pump is somewhat wobbly. It won't go anywhere though.
This build is mainly used for CAD designing/simulations, Premiere Pro, an assortment of games, and some programming. I'm looking into getting custom cablemod cables with the 20% off coupon included with the motherboard, but I'm waiting on that for now.
Way better value than samsung and just as fast
Create an annoying buzzing noise at max RPM, but otherwise quiet.
