Description

My daughter's first PC, and my first build in over 15 years - I've been stuck in notebook/tablet/iMac land - my how things have changed!

She wanted to be forward thinking w/ a mostly white/black aesthetic, with a little RBG LED action thrown in. She chose "rainbow" as the default hostname.

I originally had a smaller budget in mind, but I guess I got a little carried away :-].

My favorite part about this build is that is that she is running Ubuntu - no Windows!

She plans on playing games on Steam Play, and perhaps some digital art and music in the future.

I thought the white PSU was overkill. but you can actually see it thru the basement cover. nice build, lucky little girl.

It's totally overkill. I honestly thought it would show through more, but I do like the nice touch it provides. Thanks!

I love it when people show their build while it's still in boxes. Shows they actually waited for all parts to arrive before building.

The second I had a couple parts in my hand, they were out of their boxes and assembled lol.

I have this problem too :(

Instead of putting the build together I open it because I want to see what it looks like in the flesh and touch it XD

lmao. I got everything but my CPU so I had to use an old micro tax mobo, fx 4300 cpu, and 8gb ddr3 ram. kinda sucks because I wanted to see all the boxes but thats alright

I'll be honest, I had opened everything, except the monitor, before that pic as I waited for all of the parts to arrive

I just put it all back because I really like these picks, too!
