Description

Second M.2 storage was added to the bottom PCIe slot, went with Samsungs PM951 whilst slower the then SM and 950 versions is still a lot faster then SATA-3. Also was about to get a 512GB version on the cheap.

CPU fans were swapped out with more Parvum/Wingboost 120mm fans in white. A lot quieter then Phanteks 140mm and maintain same temp.

NZXT Grid+ V2 was also purchased to keep custom fan profiles depending on either CPU and GPU temps. Front Helix fans idle at 40% and increase to 85% if the CPU hits 55c which was average for gaming yet still quiet and due to the high static pressure reached both the CPU and GPUs. The Rear Exit was linked to the CPU temp, basically on 20% and then 100% once temps hit 50c and the Top Fan was Linked to GPUs running at 30% to 100% once they hit 40c - which was their max temp to get rid of Rad heat.

Hue+ cables were tidied up, was blinding having the bottom strip visible !

GPU cables were sleeved in white stealth combs, look a lot better :D

DUCKY Shine 4 in White was added- such an stunning keyboard and a white Razer Taipan Mouse to boot

and lastly, DSLR pics

Will be selling this or a similar system due to the popularity from NZXT instagram post https://www.instagram.com/p/BD7RoDOwEXc/?taken-by=nzxt

and hoping to do this Hybrid solution with Gigabytes 970 Twin Turbo card- buts its Black and Blue

You sleeve the cables yourself? (or did you order? )

If so, Ensourced? (cuz the GPU combs look like ensourced custom made 3D-printed combs).

...just wondering ;)

looks nice, red accents on a white or white/black is one of my fav schemes, #1 at times.

thanks,

cables were ordered and I put white stealth combs on afterwards

GPUs are Asus Turbos with alphacool waterblocks underneath the shroud

Outstanding build. Love the wiring, so damn clean. My wiring game needs to get to your level!! Check out my build and let me know what you think. Based on your build quality you can give me a critique. Again, outstanding build!!

Build looks good mate. and i cheated with the wiring :D bought pre-braided and then added the stealth combs. Have a little boy and couldnt spend the time to do it all properly :( cable combs is my one advice, will tidy up cables a treat for you. will still be there, but is made a feature! and thanks, making a Black-Blue verison using Gigabyte cards, with sponsorship this time for Alohacool

Nice!! I do have cable combs! I call the cableing on the video card my waterfall... but I know that the 24pin is the eye sore... Black and Blue!! nice, let's call it "Bruiser"!!!?? LOL Good luck, can't wait to see it.

Did you use the previous Asus 970 backplate?

couldn't land a MINI OC backplate, asked lots of ASUS staff members, so i used the Alphacool Backplate, and yep- it gets warm!

Thanks for the reply, thinking about using turbos in sli

personally, if your going for the Blower fan design, get the Gigabyte version- Twin Turbo. cheaper and the heat sink is miles better in design !!!! currently hybrid cooling that, just spray it white with plastidip for the Asus looks :D

Alright Ill take that into consideration, thanks :)

What are those covers you have on the GPU board? I have the same card and I hate that those are exposed. Why is the board exposed on the top but not the bottom. WHO LOOKS AT THE BOTTOM!

  • 1 point

Covers? You mean the Backplates ? Both have backplates on, black as i was to lazy to spray white

They are from alphacool GPU waterblocks and attach directly to the waterblock and card.

http://www.coldzero.eu/5-gpu-backplates

they do Backplates for the card but are EU based.
