Description

Built this PC for my little brother to use for school work and some light editing. Very tight budget, but we made it work and he has a machine that will last him a good few years with room for upgrade in the future.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great CPU, extremely good value and the performance exceeded expectations. The stock cooler does it's job effectively as well.

Motherboard

Had a lot of issues with this motherboard. Every other boot was getting stuck on the splash screen. This was down to the BIOS, and an update solved the issue.

The Orange LED isn't my cup of tea, fortunately you can disable it.

Storage

Fast, cheap, reliable. Everything you need from a budget boot drive.

Case

IO Shield slot was very flimsy, but other than that the case looks fantastic for such a low price.

Power Supply

Not sure i'd recommend this product. For £10 more you can pick up a Corsair PSU of the same specifications that has better contents.

Other

Surprisingly quite... very easy to control the RGB with the controller, has tonnes of modes to play around with.

If you are talking about the corsair cx models in your PSU review, you are better off with yours as it is much better quality.

I guess that comes down to preferences, but this PSU was delivered with an american power cable (Ordered it from Amazon UK), and the cabled were extremely limited with just. I was a bit hard on it, but I wouldn't personally go higher than 2 stars.
