CPU Clock Rate

3.7 GHz

CPU Temperature While Idle

30.0° C

Description

After 2 years of researching and learning about computer parts, I finally came up with this: What is essentially just an overpriced night light. I kinda wish all of the rgb would stay on when it's off but only the mobo does and that's fine.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great CPU and performs like a champ!

CPU Cooler

Comes with a lot of wires which may be kinda confusing but performs pretty well. The Fans are quiet but the aio pump does make a bit of ambient noise. The RGB didn't work at first because of the wrong cables and the manual isn't very clear about plugging your ARGB hearder into your mobo

Motherboard

Solid Mobo that is sadly discontinued. I'd really like to see this being sold again because it's really nice.

Memory

Bought these for the RGB and they deliver. High quality stuff just not that happy since they don't work with aura sync anymore. It makes no sense on how the earlier vengeance RGB works with aura sync but this doesn't

Storage

Quality SSD that's affordable and fast!

Case

A Premium case that deserved to win Gamer's Nexus's Best Case of the Year award. Great looks and easy to work with.

Power Supply

Quality PSU that gives headroom for overclocking and is quite cheap.

Great Build with great cable management! What do you use your computer for, because I would recommend you get a gpu.

SychicMind submitter 1 Build 2 points 3 months ago

So far I've just been using it for light gaming at 1080p which is more CPU intensive. I do plan on getting a GPU though

CuyMasterGaming 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

That makes complete sense.

That's why its a nightlight, it can't play games.

EagleByte 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

Can it even run the OS? I mean, why get that expensive of a CPU if you're not gonna be using it for gaming? I know you said it's a nightlight, but you could've easily gotten something much cheaper to make your nightlight with, if that's the only reason you bought it. I mean, even a $90 Pentium would be capable of running RGB (it's really not that intensive), and you could'a slapped on an AIO cooler with RGB, or even a fan with RGB onto that sucker.

And without a GPU, you're not playing games, so why get 16 GB of RAM? You could get off with two 4-gig sticks with RGB for essentially the same experience with your lighting.

Cool looking build, but if you're not doing anything with it besides making it a nightlight, a complete waste of money. Sorry to say that, it's just the truth.

Oh no, everyone is triggered because I didn't put "lol" at the end of my comment to signify that it was not hostile! Also to be clear, I didn't submit this build, SychicMind did.

SychicMind submitter 1 Build 2 points 3 months ago

yeah some people take this thing too seriously lol

DuoOne 1 point 3 months ago

I wouldn't say that, I would say that maybe people just picked up the wrong tone from that comment. lol

how would a 8700k not be able to run the OS? and I plan on getting a GPU when I get enough money

IanJvan 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

8700k can run an OS, it has integrated graphics, you'll be fine till you get a GPU I recommend a 1070 range one. integrated graphics aren't good and is a bottleneck, games, and stuff won't run well on just that. a system won't startup without any graphics processing is all

SychicMind submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

yeah I'm planning on either a 2060 or 2070

EagleByte 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

Oh, I didn't know it had integrated graphics. Thought those high-end chips didn't.

CuyMasterGaming 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

Why would he bother to get a 360 aio? Or even the Mobo? He could have gotten away with a much cheaper b450 rgb one.

SychicMind submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

I do plan on getting a high end GPU soon but this is ok for the time being until I get more cash

Tranquil_Havox 1 Build 2 points 3 months ago

I hope you like cats because once you get a good GPU to play more games this thing is gonna PUURRRRRR! :D

SychicMind submitter 1 Build 2 points 3 months ago

well I'm kinda hoping this is gonna be as quiet as possible. :/ jk

ooferino 1 point 3 months ago

What are you using this PC for? If it's gaming, where's the GPU?

diypartsjoy 1 Build 3 points 3 months ago

No, no, no

You got it all wrong. It is a NIGHT LIGHT. Light lights do not need a GPU.

LOL

ooferino 1 point 3 months ago

How are you managing so far? I don't remember the intel uhd 630 graphics being very good.

SychicMind submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

It's pretty decent since I can run all the games i want at 60+fps

ooferino 1 point 3 months ago

interesting, it sounds like you're playing CPU bound games then..

EagleByte 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

Yea, I can't sleep with a nightlight on, so...
