Description

Hi everyone, this was my first build amd i was pretty nervous. For a couple weeks i did some research and checked out reviews of multiple parts. I searched many resources for sales but once i got a few parts i caved and just bought it all within a month. Sure i could have spent a little more to get better parts or waited till black friday to save more money, but i got so excited i couldn't wait. CPU-The i5 6600k works great and even when gaming i have yet to get over 25% usage so far because this thing is such a powerhouse. My GPU does most of tue heavy lifting.

CPU Cooler- the Cryorig H7 cools pretty well and keeps my cpu nice and cool. Its a pretty decent size and the fan is beautiful.

MOBO- The Asus Z170-E went on sale so i pulled the trigger. First impression i got was that the board is pretty decent quality and nice design. However the i/o sheild is pure garbage. Its extremely flimsy and really bland. The board did some nice overclocking however and has build in 5 way optimization features. When i powered it on i was surprised to see a pulsing white LED on the bottom left and it was a nice touch. There are also random red and green indication lights,

Memory- i have mixed feelings on the RAM because i kinda wish i went with Gskill instead but it serves it purpose. I dont notice too much difference between my 6gb asus laptop even though im using an SSD in this pc so im kimda womdering how efficient my drivers are and what not.

Storage- i love how fast the boot up speed is but i dont notice too much differemce over a hdd on day to day tasks so im wondering ifni got used to its speed or if im picky. Maybe i got a slow drive but it works so thats good enough for me.

GPU- The transition from integrated graphics to dedicated video ram has been the most exciting part of my build. On my laptop i would use ultra low setting on low resolution and get 17-21 fps on 'The Forest!` now with this 6gb bad boy im at full 1080 with maxed out settings getting 75-80 fps. When i purchased the card, i knew there wasn't gonna be a backplate but i was disappointed that there was no GTX 1060 LED on the side facing my case window butnyou get what you pay for. All in all i consider this to be my favorite part of my rig.

Nicely done, your computer has unity, looks good, and it's really powerful for the price tier. Good job!

This is exactly all the parts I would put if I had to build a PC within this budget. The white looks so good! How's the case doing for you? I'm planning in buying it. +1'd ;)

I really love the look of this case and it reflects the LEDS well. I really liked the basement for cable management. I thought I would try something different and ended up pleased with the results:)

I wish those parts were the same price in UK. Ridiculously cheap and looks amazing too!

How did you install the optical drive without any optical drive bays. (New at this)

Hi, the case has an optical drive hidden behind the front cover. I installed it in the bay right under the power button

I enjoy it and I had a lot of options for cable management, especially with the power supply shroud/basement. Some say the front flap thing blocks air but you can leave it open if you like.

Nice build! Team Deepcool all the way! Dont regret that memory purchase. For $60 you cant beat it. I would have purchased that if I had found it at that price. Definitely saved $30 over most 16GB ram kits. How do you like the PNY 1060 6GB? I considered it but ended up ponying up on the extra money for the Asus Dual because of the white theme.

I love the PNY 1060. At the moment I am playing games on my TV and it just can't keep up with this awesome card. On most games I'm getting 80+fps at ultra settings
