Description

I decided to build this gaming pc for my girlfriend so she could finally stop complaining about how terrible playing games are on my Macbook Pro (lol). I went pretty low spec on this build because at most she plays League of Legends and Rocket League with me. I didn't want to spend too much because she may not use it all that often.

I started with an EVGA GTX 970 that I had previously used in a couple other builds from one time to another. Not having to budget a graphics card was huge for this build.

For a CPU I chose an AMD Ryzen 3 1200. Nothing too exciting about it, but from what I have ran on it the CPU seems to be holding up just fine.

For the Motherboard I chose the Gigabyte A320M-S2H. It is a very bare bones motherboard. Only two dimm slots for ram and only one fan header aside from the CPU fan. It works fine for this application but I would recommend something more robust for a higher end build.

For storage and ram I chose a 240gb ssd from crucial and an 8gb pair of ram from Patriot.

The PSU is a Corsair CXM 450W. It should be plenty of power for this build. I wouldn't expect it to give me any issues down the road.

And lastly for the case I chose the Cooler Master MasterBox Q300. This case is fantastic! The space behind the motherboard is very deep and has plenty of cable management opportunities. One of the easiest cases I've built in. One thing that bothers me slightly is how tinted the acrylic side panel is. With the side on and no lights in the case it is very hard to see inside. Hopefully some led light strips and LED case fans can take care of that though. I highly recommend checking this case out.

I absolutely loved that case as well! but also agree that the tinted panel is VERY tinted. Aside from that, its spacious and straight forward!

I have that case, how do you hide the Front Panel and PSU cables?

The easiest way was to orientate the front panel IO to the bottom and run the cables straight across the back of the psu to the backside of the case. For the PSU cables it helped greatly that the psu is semi modular so I really only needed a couple extra cables and they all made a sharp 90 degree turn to the back side of the case. Thankfully this case has tons of room in the back for activities.
