My main focus was improving the aesthetic of my 2015 build. After over a year this pc is still kicking *** in games at 1080p. The 390 still has a while before i will consider it obsolete. I don't have any specific plans for upgrades, however, when the time comes that i will stop seeing atleast 60 fps at medium to high settings in new games then i will probably replace only the GPU as i7s tend to last a while.
Thanks for checking this out. Here is my old desc which will be about the 3rd i have reused it. lol
Im going to post some updated reviews on the products that are still worth buying today
the only reason i got the i7 5775c is because my cousin has a friend who works at intel and he was able to get it for me for $200 (which was awesome), if that didn't happen i would have payed full price for a i5 4690k
all my selections where made based off the reviews and price, and i went with this specific mobo because of the price and the crossfire/sli if i ever feel like upgrading my psu and getting 2 video cards
the perk with the i7 5775c is that it doesn't come with intel hd graphics, it has a better version called intel iris pro. it is capable of running planetside 2 on medium/high setting and textures on ultra (of course, some things that everyone turns off are off) i was very suprised at the FPS actually being pretty high. This really came in handy during the 3 months i didnt have a video card.
The video card is a beast. Skyrim maxed out with 2k textures mod always stays at 60 fps (which it seems to be locked to) Planetside 2 maxed out will never go below 55 fps even in huge battles. The witcher 3 with a custom graphic setting runs very smooth @ 60-75 FPS. Fans running at 100 percent are pretty loud, but not as loud as the stand up fan i have next to me so that doesn't bother me. the sweet spot is 40%.
OCed my CPU to a stable 4.2 ghz, this chip is a great overclocker. I have heard of someone booting windows while their 5775c was OCed to 5ghz on air!
Thanks for looking at my build! feel free to comment
After about a year of usage and overclocking this cooler still hasn't let me down
boots windows very fast
good price but... "zzzZZZZZZzzZZZzzzzzZZZZZzzzZZZZZZZZZZ"
Great budget case. Easy to work with and has alot of small easy to remove parts that you can paint to match your color scheme.
Sorta loud, i keep them at low RPMs. Bright LED
Silent even at 100%
Silent even at 100%
cheap, Quite and cool looking
Excellent monitor. Freesync and 144hz is amazing.
Very clicky and the LED lights are bright. Lots of customization too, can match any setup.
I love this mouse and the RGB is a huge plus if you dont like the blue.
still comfortable and loud after about 7 months of usage.
Had to clean my razer keyboard after eating this. Not recommended for the gamer
Its good if you can tolerate the urge to piss every 15 minutes and being able to feel the blood rushing in the veins throughout your entire body.
