small nas low powered low cost machine.
Awesome build! I am quite impressed with what you did for the budget.
Nice budget NAS! Easy +1!!
(I'm also building one, only missing HDDs now)
One question though: how did you conect 7 HDDs with only 4 SATA ports on the MOBO please?
It's not mentioned on the part list but I assume you used a RAID controller expanson card.
Hi got 4 sata plus 1 esata port for a total of 5.
Then a very cheap 2 port sata pci-e x1 card. Bout $20 nz.
Got the stuff off trademe a NZ site.
Thanks for the feedback!

Good Work !
Great build! what software are you using to run this?
I tryed Naslite couldn,t get it to work properly.
So just on win 10.
Bit resource heavy but runs plex and file shares all right.
Running raid 0.
Could you please give details on fitting so many HDDs inside that case? What's that bracket thing, how does it attach to the case etc... I'd love to do something similar. What are the temps like too?
the hard drives are just sitting in there used a bit of double sided tape to stop vibration
seems to work ok
best of luck
temps not bad around 36-38 c
Is that PSU safe? I'd probably replace it.
