Description

A fairly high end SFF PC for gaming at 1440p/144Hz. Worked out pretty well, cpu/gpu temps are very reasonable and it doesn't get too loud. So far I've tested Battlefield 1 and get 100 ish average fps with ultra settings at 2560x1440.

Great looking case. What a powerful little build.

Thumbs up.

got my NCASE M1 on order currently, super stoked to get my build done. It's very similar you yours, except a 6700k and 1070 instead of 6700 and 1080.

Super sweet build, looks dank as hel

Powerful little box you got there!

Nice! Was the choice to go with the 6700 as opposed to the 6700K because a 6700K would get too hot if oc'ed heavy?

Yea, pretty much. The 6700 non k is good enough for me and oc'ing a 6700k probably would have meant a lot more heat/noise. And I also spend maybe $100-200 less this way

yeah, and for the money you are still getting a (6 core?) i7

Nah a 4 core, with hyperthreading

If you don't mind me asking how much was the total on that case once shipped including import taxes?

Looks like it was $230 total, $45 for shipping to CA

There's a cheaper $35 option. Not cheap but cheaper, lol.

I only have 1 question: Did you just get the founders edition for aesthetics? b/c it seems like anything else would have been a better choice, even the other blowers like the msi areo or any other one.

Edit: anyway, nice build, Especially with the restricted size cable management.

I'm a huge fan of how it looks, but that's not really why I chose it. I think in this case, a blower style card is the way to go. And I was definitely under the impression the founders edition was better than other blower designs

I haven't done very extensive MSI Aero research but that blower design is supposed to be pretty low quality. I've been pointed to EVGA or ASUS' blower style offerings instead. Or MSI's founders edition.

Really? I've heard the exact opposite, and that asus's customer service is absolutely horrible.

I like your rig. Is there some space for AiO-watercooling?

Thanks. Yep, there's actually space for a dual 120mm aio, they include a bracket for mounting the radiator. Though it seems like you'd have to be pretty careful with cable management to make it work
