Description

Hi guys,

Decided to resell my old setup Core i5 / R9 390 VaporX setup with big CoolerMaster HAF932 case.

So, this is my new ITX RIG from the end of 2018. Nothing original, just some good components to be quiet the next 5 years :)

Temps are really goods even if in this tiny space. No overclocked CPU.

Big thanks to Kevin DOLAN for his amazing mini ITX case. I love the Lazer3d LZ7. Extremely compact, beautiful design, it is a piece of art compare to my other old cases !

This is my Gaming / Edits Adobe Premiere Rig.

Peace !

How do your temps come out with the case and everything?

s00lfly submitter 1 Build 2 points 11 days ago

I invite you to read the Tek Everything's review : https://tekeverything.com/lazer3d-lz7-mini-itx-case-review/ He talk about temps with an OC Core i7

Dmolitor 3 Builds 2 points 11 days ago

No not for the processor my friend, just your system temps under load.

The CPU should be fine, it’s the ITX GPU that will get toasty.

And that NVMe drive on the back of the motherboard is going to thermal throttle hard

TheDankKn1ght 2 Builds 2 points 5 days ago

Not sure about that.... the 970 is cooler than most NVMe's and even under full load my XPG6000 (An SSD that comes with an attachable heatsink mind you) doesn't even come close to throttling range

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/samsung-970-evo-ssd-review,5573.html

And yet it still gets hot. Then you add the fact it’s mounted to the rear of an ITX motherboard in a case that has it flat against a panel with zero direct airflow.

While generally thermal throttling in a standard case won’t happen due to case airflow and taking a substantial load to push the thermal guard, this isn’t true for ITX cases with restrictive airflow like this one.

that's what she said!

idunnofam 3 points 5 days ago

At first I thought, "theres no way that will fit in there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)". Is it the same size as a GameCube? it's very cute.

That box build is everything honestly I just love it so much haha! Great Job nonetheless!

Great pictures of the build process. You also did as good a job on the cable management as I think is possible in that case with that PSU. That Gigabyte 1080 is absolutely perfect in this case. Also, very solid aesthetic choices. I hope it does last you five or more years!

Awesome job man! +1 Congrats on the feature!

Gorgeous. Awesome build.

Clemeit 2 Builds 2 points 5 days ago

Nice case!

You should consider making the first picture the final build, that way people can see what it looks like from the main page.

This is one of the coolest m-ITX builds that I have seen in a while. Truly a Small Form Factor. Well done!

Amazing build and amazing temps!

Issacsweg 2 points 5 days ago

What a find on that 1080 mini!! I've been looking for a deal on one of those for a long time. Great job tucking those wires, everything looks great. I really like the wood panels on these cases! +1

Love the case. I did my first build on a different mini itx, but my next one will be 100% with the Laser3D

jonUF02 1 Build 1 point 12 days ago

nice build. Case looks like a 1980s space heater with that walnut fake wood.

Lazer3D 2 Builds 4 points 6 days ago

The wood is solid real Walnut, 5mm sheet.

i'm located in the US. where did do buy your case? the only site i've seen stock it is overclockers.co.uk and they don't ship to the US. (the only thing stopping from getting the Lazer3D during my build was the shipping)

Lazer3D 2 Builds 2 points 5 days ago

Overclockers UK have shipping available to the US using DHL Worldwide Express service
