Description

  • New build after 5 years.
  • $2,000 budget (including tax & shipping).
  • Went for black with simple RGB around the board.
  • Started with ASUS parts, but moved to MSI due to price and more features on mATX boards compared to ASUS.
  • System went together beautifully. Only issue is the ML240R only works with MSI addressable RGB, not basic RGB. My first time buying RGB, so my bad.
  • Chose 2070 over the 1080, due to near same price, same performance, but with the chance to test out RTX and a beautiful backplate to finish off the aesthetics.
  • Moved back to AMD after 9 years of Intel. No regrets so far.

Great pc, i have that case and am planning on getting the vega 64, how was cable management for you?

Very easy. Not many loops for zip/twist ties, but some convenient runs and plenty of room underneath PSU cover for slack. The GPU cable location wasn't my favorite, but the small opening into the PSU cover right underneath made the visibility as minimal as possible.

yeah cable management was pretty easy but due to me having cable extensions the 24pin cable is putting a dent on the back of my case haha

How's the temperatures on the video card? Got the same case and thinking about getting this exact same card, but seems too large for the case. Concerned about breathing room being limited for it being so close to both the front and the side panel. Overclocked?

Absolutely amazing build! Did you have any trouble installing that 2070 in the case? Im planning too use the same setup.
