Description

As a follow up to upgrading my HTPC from this - https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/8Hm8TW - to this - https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/KMgwrH the big question is what to do with the parts from the first build?

Transplant it to another case and make a secondary desktop of course!

The case I chose was the NZXT H200. I opted for the non-"intelligent" one. I took a small gamble and hoped that the Dark Rock 4 would fit in the case and luckily it did. The spacing was really tight both between the RAM and the cooler as well as between the cooler and the tempered glass panel. The included pictures should give an idea of how close it was.

Also given how bad the cable management was done in the HTPC, I wanted to at least show some competency with a case that has significantly more space to work with and I'm happy with the results.

Also acoustics are phenomenal with this PC. It is incredibly quiet even when gaming. To the point where, I want to rip my Main PC apart to figure out why it sounds so much louder than this one.

Yeah, I'm not huge on RGB. My 16 year old self, would have loved to be into PC building in today's RGB everything era.

I guess I'm just old.

What does that make my 17 year old self then? Never mind, I have been "old" for a long time. Nice build man!

Nice build, the components seems to be great for what you plan on doing on the computer. For some reason in my opinion, the pictures you provided makes the computer look tiny, almost the size of an adult hand. Is it supposed to be that small or is it just me?

Hehe, it's my use of a super narrow focus plane with my DSLR. I have a 50mm f/1.4 lens on it and at maximum aperture size, I can forgo the use of flash in low light as well as have a really narrow plane of focus which give this pseudo tilt shift effect.

Great for the tiny ITX build I like to do.

Ok i don’t know if I am seeing things but for it shows that the whole pc costs 369 dollars and that half of ur stuff is 0 dollars

Yeah, I mentioned it in the description, a lot of the parts are from an existing HTPC I own that I upgraded to be able to do some 4K gaming. So I took the parts and put it in this case to use as another PC.

Hi! I'll be building in this case soon and I am wondering if the cables on the SFX PSU are long enough for cable management? I haven't ordered a PSU yet which is why I am torn between a fully modular ATX or SFX PSU.

My SFX psu wasn't long enough so I got some sleaved cable extensions which made the build that little bit more clean

Thanks for your answer! Looks like I'll just grab an ATX PSU so that I won't have to buy extensions lol

I actually really appreciate the side shots showing the RAM clearance with the cooler, cos I'm planning on getting this cooler for my build and wasn't sure if it would fit with my memory.
