Description

I just want to share this gaming rig that I recently had the opportunity to complete for a family member which was given to him as a surprise Christmas present.

When the opportunity came about to build this system I wanted to create something captivating combining both performance and functionality.

The plan was to do something different and after discovering that he was an avid Razer fan I opted for a theme consisting of a black and green colour scheme to suit.

Overall the whole process took just over two months to complete and I am pleased with the end result.

Thanks for taking a look, I hope you enjoy! Please feel free to comment and ask any questions.

**Apologies in advance for any bad quality or out of focus shots, this was the first time I had used a DSLR.

awesome build! I think you should use green avexir tesla ram to suit the theme better http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820011305

I was looking at that the Avexir ram but I couldn't find anyone local that had it in stock at the time, my only option was to get it from overseas and at that time the cost of postage was going to be worth more than the ram itself. :(

I have the blue version in my build(check it out-white ocean:-) and it wasnt so hard to find, it is an overpriced ram but its a huge game changer in asthetics(personal opinion) and if you will to pay that than rock on brother!

also if you have time you can create a custom io shield as demonstrated here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lo8ZjtlciM

That I/O shield is a great idea :) wish I had of seen that earlier.

Yeah I agree, it looks awesome with your build especially, if I could have gotten it for them at the time I would have otherwise it would have been more expensive than it needed to be. Something to keep in mind next time anyway.

Great build and gallery. This looks perfect for a feature.

Maybe move a couple of those wide shots to the front of the gallery to quickly show off the finished looks!

Nice going!

and that last photo is perfect... :P

Nice! I know this hardware setup is proven! I was going to go 1080 but I suspect next year will drop some nice gpu options and 1070 Is price/perf King atm

Could I do the same thing? Did you buy all the parts or did you make some?

  • 1 point

Sure you can. All the parts were purchased, I did consider making my own custom cables but the Bitfenix cables I used suited the motherboard colours perfectly.

DAYUM! Also, are you planning on picking up nzxt's x52 or x62?

  • 1 point

Unfortunately the X62 wasn't available at the time, I had to have the build completed before Xmas and the earliest the X62's were arriving in Australia was the 24/01 through a local retailer. The cost of shipping from the U.S. was not a viable option either. Not to mention I had already bought the X61. The X62 would have looked awesome though.

so I take it you will not be buying one of them, alrighty then.

Love it!!!! very close to my PC..... I just don't have a nice CPU cooler and a few other things. I had to make hard choices and the cooler got less of the budget when all was said and done... I'm prob gonna get the X62 when I get some more cash and I have some cablemod cables coming in the mail. The H440 is a great case.... GREAT build!!!!

Great build dude... I think 4 Terabites of seagate HDD would've been cheaper and better but this build was over a year and a half ago so i might be wrong lol... Maybe upgrade to the 4 T's?

Where did you get that motherboard? Because it is not for sale anywhere and I contacted Gigabyte about and they told me this motherboard was exclusive to iBuyPower. So either you know something I don't, or you didn't build this PC, you bought it.

  • 2 points

I purchased the motherboard from Scorptec Computers based in Australia, I've posted the link below, they have them in stock also, I guess iBuyPower isn't the only place to have them. My guess is that you didn't actually contact Gigabyte because you'd rather be spoon fed.

Three available on Ebay if you reside in the US.
