I built this rig for my best bud for this holiday season. Its goal is to run pubg and other aaa titles at lower settings at around 60-75hz. This was the most budget pc I think I could have built. My one regret is not getting a 6gb 1060, but it is not all bad because he can add 8gb ram which would be enough to game better now and usable in future upgrades that he'll need.
On that note, I would not suggest the Asus rebate program they will attempt to not grant you the rebate you were offered sadly and underhandedly at that. Their customer service is not so good. Their products are but customer care is not good to say the least. Evga rebate was 100% the opposite totally honorable rebate program! Thank you EVGA. My suggestion is to look for actual sales and stay away from rebates or at least check for programs with integrity.
All of the products are working great. The peripherals are the mvp. The case for cable management was not so good and it feels really cheap but for twenty dollars (assuming I get my rebate) I can't complain. The case does NOT accommodate the two 140mm fans I have in there. I had to mod (break) the front dust filter and both are just zip tied in as you can see. I happened to just have extra 140mm fans.
It runs games like a champ and for budget I think it is pretty solid. It gets 100 fps about half the time in pubg 1080p custom settings. Let me know if you guys have any questions about components!
