Description

This build was designed and modded for the EKWB Vulture mod off contest (http://www.overclock.net/t/1550926/official-ek-vulture-mod-off-discussion-thread). The machine was to showcase how the small ITX case can handle serious performance parts and have full water-cooling support. We decided to base our design after the Destroyer from the first Thor movie. The overall result came out looking amazing but it had its challenges from chemically peeling away the power coat and creating the cuts in the frame. You can view the full build log here. (http://www.overclock.net/t/1540732/sponsored-anvil) This was the first concept of a new line of custom machines we will be producing this fall.

If this isn't featured build for next 2 days then this site has totally gone down hill. I would be gutted if this didn't over turn the Aerocool Strike X and its picture frame modification Featured build!!!

If I was wearing a hat I would have to take it off, its one stunning machine. I couldnt imagine the man hours put into the building of this especially the initial design phase.

We cant tell you how much that means to us! This was our first true mod and it almost killed us...still have a few acid burns from the powder coat lol but we put all we had into it and are very proud.

This is breath taking and it's absolutely an amazing piece of art. You have my respect for another inspired build among us. My words will not be able to describe your computer since it's beyond words. There is so much hard work put into this case that you can see the modifications are unique. You most certainly have my one, because this lady loves this anvil.

Let's just say October-ish lol I'm very excited for it's launch and truly being able to build one of a kind (not just a pliant option) builds for people. It'll be fully customize able so price will be what you want in it and how you want it to look.

I would like to congratulate you on something not many people have done before, left me speechless over a build. the attention to detail is insane and I can tell it was a labor of love. Absolutely insane how well this is put together, everything from the paint, the orange accents, and the fittings. +1 man, this is one of the best I have ever seen on PCPP.

What was the story behind the Vulture case? I know it was a pretty limited item, but how did people manage to get a hold of one?

  • 1 point

The Vulture is a very rare and promotional case developed by EKWB. They had a "mod-off" with known modders to draw some hype and they were sent a case. I also gave a case away at Quakecon 2015.

  • 1 point

I see! I think I have the passion, I know I have the design and technical know-how, and I'm quickly leveling up on the skills (the means/tools department is questionable), but I don't think I could put fourth the mental effort it takes to work the social media machine. The online presense is such a huge part of it these days that becoming a "known modder" will have to remain, but a dream.
